firefly lost

Welcome back

(Note! this is my first ever wattpad and public story! its 82# on horses right now and i don't even know how ;-;)

Lilly paused and sighed, memories flashing through her head. The accident, in her mind it was all her fault. Her best friend of a sister had gone and she wasn't coming back.'You can still turn back, it's not to late, you can sell the mare and get a better one.' She took a deep breath and, ignoring her inner sensibility, she opened the doors to the stable.

 "its been so long since I smelt manure, don't miss it one bit.'' she sighed and walked to the guide. The stable was huge, but quiet. It was Monday, in the early after noon, most her age and below were at school and that made up most of the stable count. Lilly sighed and turned a corner as firefly, her sisters horse, came into view. She whinnied, recognising a familiar face. Even though Lilly didn't like riding much these days, she had to admit to the nostalgia of her many trail rides with her sister, the good old days. Her death had put Lilly off of riding and for the nine months since her death Lilly had moved onto something else and got out of her horse crazy faze. 

"Hello firefly, how's the nine months been?'' she nickered as if to answer, 'greatttt... being a school horse was just fantastic, how was yours?' Lilly giggled and opened the door, she had found the tack room whilst walking and had taken a halter that was her sisters, Lilly then ,after putting on the grey, dappled Connemara's halter, led her out of her stall and put on her tack. "I sure hope you ride well fire!" Nicknames already, Lilly was getting attached and she knew It, the mare was still incredible all these months later. She had to stop herself from cooing over the mare's majestic trot in the paddock. Her horse craziness was coming back to strike once again. She opened the gate and road Firefly out into the new.
