Tyani.

"Oh my god schools around the corner and summer just started!" Kalise said. I was at her house with my other best friends, Devina, Javonni, and Enisa.

"I know man, such a boring summer. I wanted to go to Jamaica, but my dad said no." I told them. Jamaica is my home town and I came up here when I was 9.

My phone rang, It was my dad.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Yani, come home I need to speak to you."

"Alright." I responded then hung up.

"I gotta go guys my father wants to talk to me." I told them, getting my bag and putting on my shoes.

"About what?" Enisa asked. I shrugged,

"I don't know. I'm bout to find out." I gave them all a hug and headed out the door. Im glad Keke's house is walking distance.

When I finally reached my house, I opened the front door and walked in to find my dad in the living room.

"Hey dad, wassup?" I asked and sat next to him on the couch.

"You remember how you asked your uncle to go visit him in Virginia for the summer?" I nodded.

"Well he asked if you wanna stay for a year?"
