Backstage, Eavesdropping, and the Argument

Elena's POV

Everyone who was on stage, quickly exited the stage. Our fathers were brought to our dressing room, while the girls and I met some fans. That took about 30 minutes. Right after that, we entered our dressing room to find everyone hanging out in there.

No one noticed that we had entered the room, so we just decided to listen.

"I can't believe how much you've grown." Mr. Styles said to Lux.

"I know. That's what happens when you don't see me in years." Lux said to him.

"Oh whatever." Mr. Styles mumbled.

"So, how do you think your daughters did tonight?" Josh asked them.

"They were fantastic." Liam answered as the others nodded in agreement.

"And how did you like your surprise?" Lou asked with a smile.

"Let's just say we weren't expecting that one." Mr. Tomlinson replied.

"What do you mean?" Lou asked.

"We weren't expecting our daughters to get up on stage and tell us that they are now famous." Mr. Payne said very bluntly.

"Well, what do you think about them being famous?" Simon asked them.

"I personally think it's wonderful that they're famous, but I wish that I could have known this a year ago." Mr. Payne told Simon, earnign nods of agreement from the other boys,

"Well, I'm very sorry about that." Simon replied.

"It's alright. We just wish we could have known." Mr. Horan told him.

"Anyway, you know that big, buff guy who came to get you for the X Factor finale?" Paul asked.

"Yeah." The boys said unsurely.

"That was me." Paul replied simply.

The boys went wide eyed for a second, but then they were back to normal again.

"I knew you looked familiar." I heard dad say.

"Yup." Paul said, popping the 'p'.

"I still can't believe that my daughters principal and teacher knew about this the whole time, and never mentioned a thing to me." Mr. Payne said.

"Well, they said that you guys didn't know about their talents. They also said that they were scared of what you would think of them if they ever told you about it. So we decided not to tell you guys." Mr. Johnson explained.

"And don't forget the fact that they wanted to surprise them at the X Fator finale, if they made it." Principal White added.

"Oh yeah." Mr. Johnson added in sudden realization.

"Your daughters really amazing singers. They derve this." Principal White stated, noticing their saddening expressions.

Why do they looks so sad?

"We know that they are amazing and we know that they deserve this, but we're just afraid that they'll end up just like us." Mr. Horan explained.

"Listen, you boys wanted to end it. At least that's what you told me. But that's not the point. You boys were doing so well, had everything you ever wanted. You told the fans that you were going to keep making music, until they didn't want it anymore. But during the last tour, you boys just wanted to quit. When you announced that you boys were not going to be continuing as a band, the fans were devastated. I received calls each and everyday, with fans parents saying that their child is a wreck because you boys decided that you weren't going to be continuing as a band. So don't act like you were fired, because you weren't. And don't say you don't want your daughters to end up just like you because I know they won't. It was your choice to not continue as a band." Simon told the boys angrily.
