The first thing Katherine does after a new cover had been uploaded was to tweet the link, and once she does that, she goes on with reading people's tweets about the cover.
Katherine was grateful for all the positive comments, favoriting the good and ignoring the bad. Over the years of being in the band the girls had lived by a very important rule, never read the YouTube comments. Sure, they'd read them without thinking, but Christina was strict about the rule.
Ever since Lisa became insecure at 15 years old, Christina set the rule as the band became bigger. Christina was smart, setting the rule restricted the girls from responding to comments but it also blocked away the pain and damage that could be done by reading negative comments.
Katherine wasn't a liar, so if you asked her if she had ever read the comments, she wouldn't lie. She would openly admit that she would spend an hour reading comments, heartbreak at the hateful words before wiping her eyes and telling herself, "They can't hate on someone they don't know."
One of the girls' biggest fears was Dani or Lauren being badly effected by the comments, but thankfully it hadn't happen. It was no secret that Lauren, and Lisa, was the most loved out of the band. Christina falling behind them, then Amy, and then Katherine. Poor Dani was the one that was always hated on, being told to kill herself for the way she looks, for who she is.
As Katherine shook her head and read a tweet directed towards Dani her blood boiled, and her heart broke.
'I didn't know it was that possible to be ugly, and fat! Honestly, loose some weight and then kill yourself xo. @DaniCim'
Katherine stopped herself from tweeting the girl, so she settled with blocking the account; but a small 1 caught her eye as she clicked on favorites for that tweet.
