First, some music to go along with this text:
Chris Burrows - I Wanna Be an Alcoholic
"You have to Study to be Someone in Life."
We've all heard this from our parents, teachers or friends. But we don't always feel like doing so. We all wanna play that Videogame, or go to some random party.
Some people question themselves: "Why do I have to study?". But I'll ask you something else: "What is it to be someone?".
- Have a good job;
- Have money;
-Have a good Social Status.
You probably thought of some of these. I made a research on google, and I found this on Yahoo Answers:
What is it "To be Someone"?
Best Answer:
"Is to grow in life. For instance, have good grades, so you can have a job that pays well."
What can we get out of this?
To be Someone = To Have Money
Let's think about it. Earth is like 4,54 million years old. People live like 75 years. As you can see, we don't live for too long. Everyone knows that. But still, people keep working for this system that steals the most precious the you have in your life. I'm not talking about Money you idiots. I'm talking about LIFE.
I don't know about you. I don't really wanna know. You are all wasting your time "making the fat cats rich and supporting the lie".
Today at school I refused to to na essay, and it influenced my final grade. The girl that was sitting next to me was very surprised, because she knew I'd be able to do it with no problems. I told her I just wanted to have a positive grade at the end and she answered "You have no ambitions...".
Well, let me tell you. I've never felt such pity. My wisdom about something is not defined by some random numbers in a paper. I don't feel the need to show a teacher or anyone else what I know about something. Maybe I don't want "to be Someone in life".
"Do you wanna get a shitty job, or do you wanna live your fuckin' dreams?"
