[Jasper, Nevada]
It was a beautiful day in Jasper, Nevada, at least Cassandra 'Cassie' Jones thought so. Cassie is your average sixteen year old human female with long blonde hair and blue eyes. The only thing not average about her was the fact that she is a genius. Super genius of the computer club, President of the Science club but still was the school's second most beautiful girl. On top of being a social butterfly, she was also the school's biggest nerd but most people overlooked that fact due to her beauty which many said was model qualified. She didn't think so, especially when the boy she'd had a crush on since childhood, was just her best friend and didn't even realize that she had feelings for him. But, regardless, she stayed by his side.
Cassie stood outside Jack's work as she sipped her soda that she bought. Due to her parents working late, they asked that she walked home with Jack after they both finished work. Cassie looks up from her cell and finds a sweet looking motorcycle off to the side. She didn't even see the person pull up. She whistles as she walks over to it.
"Man, Jack's going to miss seeing this beauty." Cassie says as she runs her hand across the seat, "He's been wanting a bike like you for a long time—" The door to Jack's work opens and Jack's phone rings and he picks it up. Cassie just stood watching him as she stood next to the bike.
"Hey, Mom. I just got off." Jack says into the phone and pauses as June Darby asks him a question, "No, I'm not going to the dance." June replies something and Jack's eyes widen.
"I'm not taking Cassie! We're just friends, always have been... that's just weird... And experience suggests I should never cut a rug... unless I'm installing carpet." Jack says before he notices Cassie standing there next to the bike. She motions to the bike.
"Be careful? Seriously? This is Jasper." Jack says before he follows her motioning to the bike, "I love you." He hears June reply.
"Yeah, I-I love you too, Mom. I got to run." Jack says and hangs up, "Hello, Beautiful. Who does she belong to?"
"Good question." Cassie says and she steps back as Jack as a look.
"Where has she been all my life?" Jack says doing the same thing as Cassie did with touching the seat, "It may take a few KO paychecks, but I'm going to own a ride like you someday."
"Maybe if we ask nicely, the owner will let us take if for a spin." Cassie says as she climbs onto the back, "Wouldn't that be fun?"
"Yeah, it would be..." Jack says.
"Are you... talking to your motorcycle?" A girl from school asks and Cassie's smile drops. The girl and her friend both laugh.
"Uh, my motorcycle? No. I mean, yes, yes. It's – It's mine, but, uh, no, I'm – I'm not talking to – well, to you, I am." Jack stammers. The only problem with Jack and Cassie's friendship was while Cassie had been in love with Jack since childhood; Jack had the biggest crush on Sierra, Cassie's biggest rival in beauty popularity even if she didn't care about all that.
"How's things, Sierra?" Jack asks, "Take you for a spin sometime?" Cassie's eyes narrow at Jack before she looks away with an annoyed look.
