It was a shock to me, when we we're attacked. It was unexpected. I remember being dragged into the safe room with two body guards. There were sounds. Sounds that have me flashbacks of Europe. After a couple hours, one of the guards fell asleep, or so we thought...
"Um. Excuse me?" I said getting the other guards attention. "He's not breathing." I said in a shaky voice. He went over and laid his head on his chest.
"There's no heart be..." Was all he got out, before the other had grabbed him and bit his neck, eating him. I screamed, helpless here. No weapon. He dropped the guard and stood up. That's when I seen the gun in the dead guards hand. When the zombie guard came at me, I kicked it in the face, surprised I was able to, before stumbling to the gun. I grabbed it and moved to the corner of the room. The zombie slowly raised back up. I pointed the gun but my hands were shaking so bad, I couldn't aim. I couldn't even pull the trigger. My life started flashing before a pair of familiar hand were placed over mine.
"Now. Take a breath, aim for the head, and pull the trigger." Said a familiar voice. I took a breath as the zombie charged then, I was able to pull the trigger, shooting a bullet straight through the brain. The bullet ricocheted and ended up in the other guard's head. I looked over my shoulder to see no one. I knew who it was, because I'd never forget his voice.
"Leon."
Both guards are dead and now, I am forced to either stay here alone or leave this room in search of Leon and other survivors. I just know he's alive.
I grabbed what ammo I could off of the guards and even a knife, before I undid the security lock and held the gun up while the door opened. The room was quiet. The air reeked of zombies. I don't know how I can tell, cause I wasn't every really around zombies, just the Las Plagues.(They're not technically ZOMBIES because most are still living, they've just under the control of Sadler and his higher ups and are stronger then average humans.)
But now wasn't the time to have a flashback. I quietly and quickly made it to my dad's office. The door was jammed, so I went to point my gun at the lock but thought. Zombies are attracted to loud sounds. If I shot the lock, then I'd be cornered. I used the knife to wedge in between the door and the frame. I did so quietly not to attract any unwanted guests. I finally got it open, but the door made a pop sound. I heard a few growls as movement came my way. I held my gun up.
"If you're unsure if you'll hit them, it's ok to let it get close, just make sure you know how many, and always check your back."
I could hear in my head, Leon's voice when her was teaching me how to shoot. I kissed his cheek that day. I lightly blushed before shaking that memory away and firing at the closest zombie, splattering its brains on the wall. I peeked behind me before shooting the next one then the last one. I turned to another zombie, as he jumped on me. I grabbed pushed my arm against his throat, keeping his snapping bloody jaws away from me. I couldn't get to my gun because I'd dropped it, so I reached for my knife, and stabbed him in the side of the head, then rolled him off. I laid there for a few seconds, breathing heavily. My heart was beating fast. I yanked the knife out, grabbed my gun, and finally, walked into...
My dad's...
O f f i c e ?!Tears formed in my eyes as I loomed down. In the center of the room, on the floor, was the zombied, dead body, of the President...my dad.
"Daddy..." I fell to my knees. I could see the bullet wound in his head. I just knew, Leon was the one, to finish him. I know Leon is feeling how I am. I hugged the body of my dad and cried.
"Daddy!" I bald my eyes out.
One more zombie staggered in. It was another guard. I sat my gun down, pulled out my bloodied knife and started cutting away at it, screaming. I took the knife it had on its belt and with both, plunged them deep into his eyesockets. Blood oozed out as it slid off the wall. I ripped out the knives, before kicking it across the jaw, hearing a snap.
I was covered in it's blood. My clothes ruined. I grabbed my gun and walked down the hall to my room. I locked the door then headbutting it. A few more tears fell as I took off my clothes and walked into the shower, watching the blood slide off my breasts, down my body. I stepped out and dried off. I was surprised the water even worked. I opened my closet to find a change of clothes. There was a duffle bag I don't really remember. I zipped it open and slowly smiled when I seen the outfit inside. I put on my undergarments before getting dressed in them. It was the clothes from when I was in Europe. I looked at myself in the mirror.
"Wow. The shirt still fits, but the skirt is a bit smaller." It use to be above the knee but now it was mid thigh, maybe a tiny bit higher.
"I wonder what Leon would say if he seen me in these again?" I remember when he would climb down a ladder, he looked up and seen up my skirt. I was embarrassed so I called him a pervert. I laughed and smiled.
I grabbed my weapons and put a change of clothes in the bag. I also grabbed two books then headed over to my dad's room. I reached under his bed and pulled out a key. I put the key in a hole over the fireplace as it turned with me into a secret room. On the wall was a shotgun with a strap. I took and put it around me. I threw some ammo in the bag and unloaded my handgun. I opened a desk and grabbed a 9mm, brown skinned, with the words "Graham Cracker" carved into it. I smiled. Dad was always silly when he wasn't busy or tired. I also found a silencer beside it. That'll help when I'm sneaking past zombies. I left the room, and pulled the covers off his bed and a pillow. I returned to his office. I put the pillow under his head, and covered him up. I wiped the blood from his head before kissing it.
"Goodbye, dad. I love you." I sniffled a bit, holding back my tears.
"Rest in peace." I pulled the covers over his head.
I left a note over him. I walked, loaded my gun and putting on it's silencer. I shot ever zombie on my way out. Most were already dead. Which means Leon had to have been here.
"I'm coming Leon."The note:
Here lies the greatest man to have ever been president. He was strong, smart and brave. He was the best father ever. I only wished I had more time with him. But now, I'm leaving to find to one person I know who can help end this. I hope to catch up with him soon. May the President rest in peace.
