Marianas POV:
Not being able to sleep last night bit me in the ass to wake up today. After turning off all of my ten alarms I actually got up at 6:30 AM. I can't complain because I have enough time to get ready this morning. This girl needs to be hydrated for the day and with that I headed towards my kitchen to grab some water. Once I was done with that I went to my bathroom brushed my teeth and began to get ready.
About a hour and twenty minutes later I was completely done. I straighten my dark brown hair, put some light makeup on my face and wore the outfit I picked out last night. The girls and I thought it would be a good start for this school year if we all went together to school. Since Jessica and Jennifer live closer to each other and a couple houses away from school we will meet up at Jessica's house. (This is Mariana's outfit. I really love it!!)

"Im so ready for today girls!" Jessica said excited.
"Our last year as boring high schoolers. Finally next year we are away in college." Jennifer replied.
"Hey, hey, let's first get through this year and then we think about college" I said as I rolled my eyes at them.
The walk to school was less than 5 minutes. We entered the halls of Hermosa High School the atmosphere changed everyone was rushing to find their classes and others caught up with friends.
"And we're back in hell again.." I said with a sigh.
"Shut up let's go to the main office to get our classes before it's packed." Jennifer said pulling our arms heading towards the office.
Surprising the line wasn't long as previous years. After getting our classes I had Jen for second, fifth and sixth I had Jessica for all except for first. I don't know about the boys but I'll guess I'll find out as the day passes by. Eventually the bell rang and everyone headed towards their new classes.
For my first period I had Art. This class I am excited about. I entered class and thankfully I wasn't the last person to come in. I searched the room for the perfect seat. I decided not to sit in the front roll nor the middle but in the back of the class. That way I can avoid contact with any students. I sat on the right side in the last row of the class.
I began to take out my school supplies while the class began to fill up. Our teacher walked in and everyone stood silent. She looked to be around her early 30s.
"Good morning class. I'm Ms. Rivera and I will be your art teacher as you can see. I hope everyone had a good summer. It's a new school year so I expect your inner creativity to come out this year to have at least an A or B." She said as she eyed everyone in class. She clapped her hands together and sat down.
"Okay so let's get started then. I will be doing roll call to see if everyone is here." She continued.
Everyone sat quietly waiting on their names to be called. I began to look around the class to see if I know anyone here. I probably just know at least half of the class. My last name starts with the E so I was preparing myself to say "here" as she was getting closer to my last name. I have this thing of always getting nervous when I'm going to speak in class. Don't judge me.
I set myself a goal that I won't be distracted by nothing nor no one. This year is my last year here and an important one. I will get it together and plan on keeping it together for the rest of the year. Once all that was over we were probably 20 minutes into class. Our teacher spoke about expectations she had for us.
The whole class turn to the noise of the door opening. I, myself turn to see too. My eyes widen and mouth dropped. I couldn't believe who I was seeing.
"Uh, Hi. I'm Alex. My bad for being late I just got enrolled." He said to Ms. Rivera quietly but loud enough that I was able to catch on his words.
Alex..
It can't be him. Why the fuck is he here? Oh my god. He's enrolled and in this class. Wait. What if he's on my other classes too?
"Fuck fuck fuck" I muttered looking down at my notebook doing something to distract myself.
"Language, Ms?" Ms Rivera asked.
"Evans. Mariana Evans" I said quietly sinking into my seat.
I looked anywhere but the front of the class where he was. You ever feel the glare of someone staring at you? Yeah. That's exactly what I felt except everyone's stare was on me but the one that made me want to run out this room was his stare.
I heard a cough. A cough coming from the front of the class. It was him. Shit. He noticed me! Does he remember me from that night? Thinking about what happened that night I felt my checks begin to feel insanely hot and my mouth became completely dry. Okay relax, Mariana. I need to play it cool. He probably doesn't remember due to the liquor we drank. All I know is I can't make it a huge deal or else he will catch on.
"Ms Evans I won't allow inappropriate words in my class." Ms Rivera said cutting me off my thoughts.
I gave no reply. Thank you dry throat. I searched the room for a possible seat he'll take. There was only one seat available and it was right in front on my seat. So much luck I have today, right?
He started to walk down the class towards the empty seat. I didn't even bother to keep looking at him but noticed he already settled in. The class continued but I was in no way paying attention.
"Mariana." He whispered still looking forward at the board.
Ahh. Shit. Here we go.
