Three days after Y/N's "card on the building" trick...
"Man, this is too easy." Y/N chuckles to himself, pulling about 300 Lien from the wallet he stole. A shit-eating grin is on his face as he pockets the money and tosses the wallet, before "accidentally" bumping into a man in a green suit walking next to a woman in a tattered purple cape.
"Sorry, my bad. Nice suit, man." Y/N apologizes and pats the man on the arms before jogging off and rounding the corner.
"Heh, let's see what kinda cash that guy had on him." Y/N checks his pockets for the man's wallet, only to find a scroll where he would've put the wallet. "Okay, that's not right. Coulda sworn I grabbed his wallet."
Curious, Y/N opens and unlocks the scroll, a video chat opening up. On the screen in front if him is none other than the man he just passed.
"Hello, Mr. Wilder. I understand we just had a little run in. I must say, you should really learn the first rule of magic again." Y/N grimaced, remembering every lesson with Danny.
"Always be the smartest guy in the room. Yeah. So who are you? Never met a guy I couldn't keep distracted with my semblance before." The man on the screen smiles.
"My name is Professor Ozpin, the Headmaster of Beacon Academy. I'm sure you've heard of that, right? Anyway, I have an offer for you. Think of it as, an initiation of sorts. Complete it, and you'll be accepted into Beacon. Which, in turn, would give you higher profile audiences. It's a win-win, Mr. Wilder." Ozpin continues to smile, while Y/N ponders the decision. Higher profile audiences meant larger wallets, larger bank accounts, more credit cards.
"Alright. What's the offer?" Ozpin smiles more, before a notification appears on the scroll in Y/N's hands. "What you do best. Use magic tricks to steal something. You've got a week. Good luck, Mr. Wilder."
The ends, and Y/N opens the notification. Steal Weiss Schnee's scroll, and bring it to my office. Use whatever trick you need to in order to do so. This causes Y/N to grin. "Oh, I'll steal more than just the scroll. I think I'll make a rather sizable donation to the orphanage after this little trick."

Y/N wasn't surprised when people at Beacon knew who he was. He got that everywhere he went, every trick and show he did. What did surprise him was the amount of fans that appeared at his show. "O-kay, wow! I did not expect this! Well, you all know who I am, so no point in introducing myself. Now, I need a volunteer for this trick. I'm gonna pick one at random with a little help from my mentalism training."
Y/N places his fingers against his head, closing his eyes. "I'm seeing, white hair, blue eyes, very prominent scar on the...left eye? Alright now, name. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W- W! Winter, Winley, Wendy, Wei- Weiss!/ A Weiss Schnee, are they in the crowd?" Y/N opens his eyes to indeed see Weiss raising her hand. "Alright, miss Schnee, please come up to the stage."
As Weiss is coming to the stage, Y/N texts Ozpin with the scroll from before. When I snap my fingers after the card trick, I need you to configure the Beacon Tower lights into the shape of the Queen of Spades, okay? Y/N barely gets the chance to see the reply of 'okay' before Weiss was on stage, impatiently tapping her foot. "Alright. Now normally I start with a bit of mentalism, but let's skip that and get onto the trick, yeah?"
Y/N produces a deck of cards from his jacket and starts shuffling them. "Now, this is a, pretty traditional trick I do, so, forgive me if I go through it pretty quick."
"Come in close. Closer. Look as hard as you can. Because the more you think you see, the easier it'll be to fool you." Y/N stops shuffling and holds the deck up. "I'm gonna flip through this deck, and I want you to see a card, not this card, that's too easy, and I want you to focus on that card, don't tell me. Alright?" Weiss nods, unimpressed. Y/N flips through the deck quickly, lingering on the Queen of Spades. "I'm sorry, that was too quick, let me do it again." Y/N repeats the action slower, still letting the Queen of Spades show for a split-second longer than the others. "Got a card, got it in mind?" Weiss answers bluntly, "Yes." Y/N smiles and spreads the deck out for Weiss to see. "And do you see it here?" Another blunt "No."
Y/N just smiles before turning to the crowd. "What do I always say, people?! The closer you look," the entirety of Beacon's student body chants back, "THE LESS YOU SEE!" With this, Y/N throws the deck in the air, snapping his fingers as the Beacon Tower lights form the Queen of Spades card. It's now that Y/N uses his semblance to keep everyone's attention on the tower, grabbing both Weiss' scroll and wallet from her pocket, taking 6,000 Lien from it before placing it back. Afterwards, Y/N creates a flurry of cards around himself, all with his emblem on them as he uses the cover to get to the elevator of the Beacon Tower. When the distraction ends, a girl in red suddenly appears in the elevator just before Y/N is able to close the door.
"Oh my Oum, I am such a big fan, Mr. Wilder!" Y/N chuckles as the door closes. "Please, call me Jason. Mr. Wilder is my father. And you are?" The girl composes herself quickly, straighten her cloak before putting her hand out. "Ruby, Ruby Rose." "Well, Ruby, I think your the second person to ever catch me after a trick." Ruby tilts her head quizzically, "Who's the first?" Again, Y/N chuckles and starts sifting through the Lien he nabbed from Weiss' wallet. "You'll see."
