"Annie, I think dad did it." I sat down next to Annie.

"Dad would never do that to Ruby." Annie protested. She looked at me and shook her head. "He didn't send her to Japan. He only threatened that so she would shut up when he wanted." Annie insisted.

"Who are you trying to prove that to? Me? Or yourself?" I asked her.

"Shut up." She growled. I looked up at the sky.

"I just don't think she's dead." I sighed. "We should go to Japan t-" I was cut off by our mom.

"Bloody hell girls! Get inside before the bombing starts again!" She yelled at us. Both Annie and I got up and followed her inside.

"Marie! Where's the vodka?!" My dad screamed.

"He's drinking again." I whispered to my sister.

"He's always drinking..." She answered me back.

"I'm not telling you where it's at. You drink way to much Daryl!" Mom protested. I backed away from mom knowing what would come next.

Mom flew across the room. He is a monster. My dad is a monster and because he is my dad... So am I. Mom was held against the wall without dad laying a finger on her.

I was afraid of my own dad.

He looked at me with an evil smirk. I backed away until till my back hit the wooden wall. "Hello darlings..." He smirked, I hoped he wanted to be left alone.

"I have unfinished business with your mother. Go to your room." I grabbed Annie's hand and ran away from there. I didn't want to spend another minute next to those filthy jerks.

I locked the door. Annie sat on the floor.

"Ruby can't be dead... She can't be..." She mumbled to herself.

"When did we stop being that happy family we were?"

"I don't know, I really don't..." I sat down next to her.

"We just need to wait for this war to be over, then we'll get out of here. You and me, I promise... We'll go to America, we'll be happy and free" I could hear my voice starting to crack up, tears appeared in my sisters eyes.

"A-And we'll get Ruby, wherever she is. We'll get her back and we'll all move away as far as possible from them okay?"

And she broke down crying.

My sister. My twin sister. The only person I love. The only person I trust. She broke down crying. She was crying in my arms.

I myself, started to tear up. It wasn't soon after that I cried into Annie, and I thought we might drown with all our tears.
