Yall, Im sorry these chapter are a bit boring the actions coming soon!
Rubins POV
I sat there with wide eyes and shock.
"Rubin! Why the hell are you looking like you've just seen hell or some shit! Get your ass outa here and find the damn girl. Goddamnit millennials." Carnel said bitterly. Grabbing the folder, I head out.
Lets see...
236 Farris Bridge Rd, Collierville, TN 38017.
I get into my 1967 Maserati and start to head to the highway.
A big smirk is painted on my face as I think of how I instantly knew this girl was a rich kid. Vincent was a man of money. For him $1,000 dollars is like $10 dollars. He is filthy rich. I'm really just confused on what she was doin in the streets.
Collierville TN
As I continue to drive a sign appears saying Town Of Collierville. People are walking their dogs, and some are out for a run. Wow. This town is like a little kids book, the ones with bright pictures and shit.
Arriving to Imanis house I ring the doorbell. Damn this is big! The front entrance has two long things that hold up the roof thing as it towers above me.
Ding Dong
"Hello" the woman says with a bright smile, she looks like she's in her 40s. She has very light brown skin and a curly bob. Hmm.
"Good afternoon ma'am, is Imani Rashel here." Her smile quickly turns into a snarl and her eyes flood with anger. Did I say something wrong?
"Hmm, well she ran off not to long ago but what do you need?" She asks going back to a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Before I could reply she drags me into the house. She sits me down right next to her and starts to speak.
"Imani is not who you think she is,boy. She is a selfish girl who will drag you down. Look at you, your handsome, you look like you have potential, don't waste your time on her." What kind of mother talks shit about her daughter like that. Shoot, if it were me i would've ran away to. She continues to speak, but i tune her out.
This bitch is crazy and i need to get the hell outa here.
"You know I really gotta go, ma'am thanks." with that I rush off and drive back to the city. Time to look for Imani. Since she wasn't in her house, I would have to search the street, ask people, and do god knows what. This is gonna be harder than I thought.
Imanis POV
"Mhmmmm..." I moan as I bite into the sweet and spicy chicken wings.
"So i'm guessing you like it?" Sammy asks,
"Yes I freaking love this." Sammy and I have known each other for a long time. He worked Gus Fried Chicken(Yall Memphis folks know dis the og!), and that's how we met. I asked for a bowl of cole slaw and he clumsily dumped it on me. Apologizing we made small talk and became good friends. He's the one person I trust in this city. He ended up getting fired and worked at The Wing Guru. I took an uber and arrived, luckily he was closing up the shop before letting me in and asking if I wanted some wings. It was now 10:04.
"So, how's life treating you." he asks
"Ha, like a bitch."
"Tell me you didn't run away again." he says with a tint of annoyance,
"Hey! She threw a knife at me this time, it's a better excuse than last time. Remember, the soup accident." I reply. And I know what y'all are thing, why run away because of soup, because this motherfucker dumped it on my hair, and I was trying to go natural when she put freaking chicken noodle soup in it. Like dang, do you hate me that much?
