"You idiot don't you get it? no one wants you here!" I wake up suddenly, all sweaty. Another nightmare. It seems I still can't get over that sad day, I shake myself awake. I look around and see my alarm about to go off. I get up and shut it off before it makes noise, I take a shower right afterwards and go out into the living room only to see my little sister making breakfast.
"Good morning Sasaki! Breakfast is almost done." She smiles at me, I sit down and enjoy breakfast with her. I get up from the table and realize that school starts in about 30 minutes, if I wanted to get there early and study I should really go. "Thank you for breakfast, it was very delicious. I'll see you later." I put my jacket on and run towards school.
45 minutes later-
"Shit!" I run to class late again. "Well Mr. Haise! I hope this time it wasn't because you got lost in another book." Mr. Sato looks at me as if he was about to explode. "Ah I apologize for that... it won't happen again." I bow my head down. I look at him and then to the right of his shoulder, it's a girl. "Sit down Mr. Haise... now!" I do as told and sit, lucky for me I don't have anyone sitting next to me or in front... or behind. "Anyways! Before I was rudely interrupted by him we have a new student, she has transferred here with her other sisters, she will be part of our class this year so please welcome her with open arms." I look to see a girl with short pink-ish hair next to him. "H-hello everyone! My name is Nakano Ichika... thank you." Everyone starts talking about her looks and asking her about where she's from. "Now now class! Miss Nakano please pick any seat... class tod-" she looks at me for a second and starts heading my way. "Wow she's got quite the body." The guy two seats on my right says out loud. I look at him and the guys around him, they looked real hungry. "Hey" I jump a bit, I look forward only to see her chest. The guy wasn't wrong... but it's not right. I look up immediately only to see the new girl smile at me. 'Crap did she see me stare at her chest?' I try to play it off cold. "Yeah?" She looks at me blushing. "Any chance I could sit next to you?" My eyes open wide! A girl wants to sit next to me? Me? Out of all people? Someone like me? "Ehh... are you sure?" I look at her confused.
"Yeah you seem pretty lonely here, mind if i join you?" She puts her things down next to me. "My name is Nakano Ichika, what's yours?" I look at her still dumbfounded by her sitting next to me. "Uhh Haise Sasaki" I look away. It was the first time anyone has looked at me in the eyes, especially a girl. "Well Haise I hope we can become good fri-" she gets cut off by Mr. Sato. "Miss Nakano... you sure you wanna sit next to Mr. Haise? He is quite troublesome." She looks at him and then at me, she then looks down. "I am okay here thank you very much." This girl. "Very well, best of luck." He goes back to teaching. Class goes on for a while until I feel a light tap on my arm. "Hey Haise, can I ask you something? Do you understand any of this? I'm a little lost..." she looks at me and I look away again. "Y-yeah, what part do you need help with?" She leans in closer to show me. "This problem right here." She leans in even more. "Uhh yeah! It's easy all you have to do is-ah" I suddenly feel something soft on my arm. "Ah? What does that mea-ah" she sits back down and looks away. "Sorry I didn't realize we were so c-close." It was soft. "Its f-fine! It was my fault. Anyways here I did an example for you." She nods and looks at it... and looks at it... and looks at... " I s-still don't get it." She smiles at me as if I had written in another language. "Uh... what part is giving you trouble?" She laughs and smiles "all of it."
The year just started and I already had a feeling that things would get interesting because of her.
