Chapter 8- Stay

Ξ Aiko's Pov Ξ

I remember finishing my homework when I heard a loud crash noise. I look down to see my brother half awake. A tall man appeared out of nowhere and had grabbed me by the neck.

'I can't breath! Haise! Help' I can't speak. I look at my brother, my hopes soon dies down when a masked person next to him cuts away his legs. I feel myself going.

Ξ 5 years ago Ξ

"What's that Haise?" I looked at my brother, he looked scared when he saw the two dogs in front of us. He was always a chicken, but that day showed me he was something different.

"S-stay back Aiko! I'll catch up, I love you." The two dogs came forward, he quickly grabbed the dumpsters lid and used it as a shield. The first dog launched towards him but he quickly swung the lid upwards sending the dog flying. The second came from the side pushing him to the ground.

"Ahh! Dammit!" The lid was keeping him alive. I quickly look around to see a glass bottle. I grab it and ran towards them.

"Aiko! No!" I swing it and manage to hit the dog. It cries in pain. Both dogs leave running away.

"Jesus Aiko! Seriously, you should've gone somewhere safe." He pats my head and sighs heavily. I look at him and see him smile brightly at me.

"Thank you though, no matter what I'll keep you safe. I promise."

Ξ present Ξ

The last thing I recalled was hearing my brother say "I promise." I feel my insides bursts. I look at my brother one last time, I feel my lips move.

'It's dark... and cold....' Sorry, Haise.

Ξ Nino's Pov Ξ

I look at Haise fly into one of the rooms. The guy in front of us disappears. Some girl cuts off Haise's legs. I try to get up but suddenly feel pushed down. A tall muscular man had suddenly appeared. Itsuki grabbed me by the hand, I look at the girls and realized something bad was going down. I look forward and see Aiko get picked up by the other guy. I felt my hand get squeezed. Both Miku and Itsuki looked like ghosts. Everything went quiet when we heard Aiko's body drop.

'They killed her? Why? Are we next? Is Haise okay?' I look at Haise, the room is filled with a cry of help, despair, sadness, and anger.

Ξ 3rd person pov Ξ

"YOU BASTARD" Haise had finally lost it. A heat of wave hit everyone near. The small room had been destroyed.

"Haise!" Miku had yelled. The guy in front of them looked shocked.

"Yamato! Hey where are you?" We see the other two appear next to him.

"Ahh fuck! The brat got me good... hehe... he got my damn arm." Both him and the girl looked roughed up. I still don't see Aiko or Haise.

"Where is he?" The tall guy got up and looked around.

"Hell if I know... just prepare yourself... he was a C rank at a young age... who knows what he is now." He looked a bit shocked.

"C-C rank!? But wasn't he like 12 or 13?!! How can a kid have that much power at that age?" They all went quiet.

"That kid isn't just a monster... his a-"

*crash*

"Shit he isn't the same as before! Keep your guards up!" They all got up.

"I see him! His ri-" He had disappeared into the darkness.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" Everyone in the room felt chills.

"Dammit Haise! Stop this or I'll kill the girls." He grabbed Yotsuba. The lady next to him cried.

"What the hell!?" Her arms had disappeared. She collapsed on the ground. He pulled out a knife and held it against Yotsuba's neck.

"Don't make me kill another person Haise. Don't do this now brat." Haise had appeared from the shadows.

"You killed... my sister... you don't... get to live..." The guy was floating. He let go of Yotsuba. He was bleeding.

"Shitt.... I knew it... those shitty things... are invincible... fuck..." he swung his knife at the air, he stopped floating. Before he could make contact with the ground Haise had gone forward. He looked different once again.

"Not... today brat!" Yamato smirked at him. He disappeared. Haise lands in front of the girls.

"Haise!" Miku had yelled. He looked at us with dead eyes. Behind him was Aiko, she was floating in the air.

"Fuck." Haise brought her towards him. He carried her in his arms.

"Aiko... please don't leave me... I'm sorry..." this was the first time Haise had shown any sort of emotion other than anger. All five sisters surrounded him. He was crying.

"I don't wanna be alone Aiko... please..." the girls held one another, they all realized she had already passed away. The room was filled with silence.

"Haise, i'm so sorry... we're here for you." They all surrounded him. The whole night Haise had stayed up hugging his sister. The quintuplets stayed up as well.

Ξ few days later Ξ

After that night everything had changed. Haise realized that the police weren't to be trusted. After reporting everything that happened that night they had tried blaming everything on Haise. He managed to escape but is now wanted by the police. The quintuplets went back home by their fathers orders. They had lost all contact with Haise, the last time they saw him was at his sisters funeral.

Ξ Miku's pov Ξ

Everything had gone back to how it was. It was strange, school was quieter after he left. I tried calling him but whatever service he was using was now cut off. The last thing we both said left me in a broken state. He had left without saying a word.

"I miss him." I try breaking the silence. Nino looked at me, she then went back to doing her work.

"Why are we acting this way? Didn't we all enjoy the time we spent together with him? Why haven't we done anything about this? He suddenly disappears without a trace. Doesn't anyone feel the at least sad in some way?" I feel myself getting teary at the end. I look at my sisters and see them all look at one another.

"Miku, he left. He left without saying a word to any of us. I don't think we should-" I quickly cut her off.

"He left because of what happened to his sister. He left because he was putting us in danger yet... he looked sad. He looked defeated. What he said wasn't what he meant. Who knows maybe he wa-" Ichika slaps me across the face.

"Wake up Miku, his gone. He doesn't exist anymore. Get over it please. Haise left because he wanted to keep us safe right? Then lets leave it at that. Lets not push it. We all almost died twice especially you! So I don't think we should look for him. Let him be. He suffered already. I can't just wait, I have tons of things to do. Sorry." Ichika left to her room. I look around and see all of them do the same. Yotsuba stops before going upstairs.

"I miss him a lot... believe me I do... but he doesn't need more pain... another burden... so please... forget about him..." I hear the sound of multiple doors close. I can't help but cry.

"Haise... I need you..."
