Part one
I sat in the limo watching the faces of by-standers as we passed by them. I smothered a laugh with my hand. It always made me laugh thinking about what they were saying about us. I wonder what the rumors would be here. I remember that the last one was every close to the truth how a preacher said we were demons from hell come to condemn them to hell.
You see me and my sisters weren’t from the earth. We were from hell. I remember the leaving hell it was the most exciting day of my eternal life. I was born from my father cutting of one of his fingers to make me. I was the first born. Which made me the leader of our little family when father wasn’t around.
He usually wasn’t there. But when we did see him it meant two things… One that he had a surprise for us and we had done every good with our last job. Two we were going to be punished. The punishments were the worst thing you could imagine. Thing of your worst nightmare times ten. It would be worst.
That’s when we stopped by a mansion. It was big and scary in the middle of the woods. In the back there was another smaller house. Which was meant for the help. I saw a small boy working in the garden trimming a weeping willow. He had a light red more like a blonde really. He had tan skin. From here I could barely see his eyes but I had good eye sight be a demon and I saw that they were a light blue. It shocking to see how old they looked. Like he was a million years old.
But of course he wasn’t though. I should know. Anyway I turn my attention from the boy to he the devil himself standing at the door. I heard my sisters gasp with me. We all slowly got out of the car with our heads down. A million thoughts went through my head. Like how we kilt the preacher that accused us of being evil and spat on the floor we walked on. What can I say I was angry. So were my sisters we were very loyal to each other. After all we are sisters.
When all seven of us got up there we saw him smile. That’s when we all relaxed. Father only smiled when he had something for us. He nodded to each of us me being last. “Lyssa.” He said. I nodded my hello to my father. Then he clapped his hands grinning. “My daughters I have a present for you all. Its charm bracelets. But these aren’t anything ordinary. In fact they are summoners each one is a symbol of each one of you if you ever need each other just hold the charm and say your sister’s name.”
We each smiled when we all got our charm bracelets. But then our father said he had to go. We all frowned but keep our mouths shut because we didn’t want a punishment. Then he got in his silver car and drive away for how long no one knew. We sighed and walked to each room we knew which one was ours by the color on the door. Mine was red. For wrath, purple for Zelda pride, green for Invidia envy, pink for Haya lust, gold for Ayn greed, peach for Adephagia gluttony, blue for Aergia sloth.
I walked in to the red colored door to find it was covered in leather and the color red. I laughed my father took things to literally. I had I liked leather and I wanted a few new things with leather but this was unreal. I opened the closet to see it had leather jeans and shirts and jackets galore.
I sighed and looked through it to see it actually had some nice stuff in it. By small designers that was good because then I didn’t have to deal with the teens at school being jealous that was my sisters job to get them that way.
I sighed and thought of our last town where all that anger was. It was my favorite town. Even the name screamed anger. Hell’s coven, but sadly we almost got ran out of the town. But we got out before anyone could do anything. I looked around my room thinking about what tomorrow will bring to this place besides the obvious… Us.
I turned towards my new room’s window to see a boy about my age standing outside. He had the same hair color as the little boy’s but that’s all I could see because he had his back to me. But he was tall I could tell you that. Strong too, because he was lifting up a big pile of wood almost as big as me.
Turned from him and decided to go look at the garden. It was one of the only things I liked about this world. Nature. But I hated how these humans had no idea what was happening to this world, no all they do is destroy and take. Over and over again. I walked down to it to find a note hanging on the gate with my name on it. It said…
Lyssa,
Each part of the house has been made just for each of you the whole garden is yours do with it what you will…
Sincerely,
Your father.
I smiled. Then I ran in to the garden like I was a child in a candy store. Grinning, I saw everything from the white lilies to the red roses. It was the most beautiful thing in the world. I sat in the middle of it all with a flower in my hair. I picked some flowers with some stems. Then I made a few bundles of flower. I know I know. How can the demon of wrath be in to all this. Well to tell you the truth I really never new why it always made me happy it was one of the only things that made me happy.
I sighed and laid down. “Um… Hi?” I jumped up and looked at the voice. It was the boy from before. He looked startled but quickly covered it. I looked him up and down he had a nice tan from the sun. dressed in plaid shirt and blue jeans. I finally looked him in the eyes to see they were a never ending green. “What do you want?” I said in a harsh tone. He flinched at the tone in my voice like I had hit him in the face. I just glared at him. “I… um… work here I live in the back house with my mom and dad and little brother. I was here to tend to the garden since my dad is sick today.”
I nodded and sat back down. And closed my eyes and let flowers be taken care of. “So what’s your name? I’m Beck by the way.” The boy, Beck, asked. I sighed already telling that this boy would be a problem. “Lyssa.” I simple said. Then he said. “Wow! That’s really cool name what does it mean?” I smiled this was my favorite part of my life where I give them a hint of what I am. “It means goddess of fire and wrath.” He was quite for a second then started talking again. Which wasn’t a hardship to listen to. It was actually nice. Smooth yet smoky like.
“So anyway are you going to the high school? I saw yall coming out that limo there was like twenty of y’all or something.”
“Seven actually. Yes we all are going to be going to the high school Invidia, Haya, and I are going to be seniors this year the others will be spit in juniors and sophomores. I opened my eyes and looked to him to see him grinning. “What?” I said.
“You just a lot nicer than you look. To tell you the truth it seems to me that name doesn’t suit you.” I rush over to him faster than he could blink and grabbed him by his shirt. “Don’t EVER say that again! The only reason I’m ‘nice’ right now is because I’m in a room of flowers and they feed off our energy. So if would like to keep your head I suggest you apologize for what you just said!”
“I’m s-sorry.” I smiled an evil smile at him then let him drop to the floor gasping for air. Then I walked out of the garden to my new room. Smiling knowing I’d never have to deal with him again.
