I woke up with tear stained cheeks and red puffy eyes. I look at my clock and I read 3:16. God I'll never get back to sleep. I walk to my bathroom and flip on the lights. I shield my eyes from the brightness of it. I look at the mirror.

Why.

That's one question I keep thinking about. Why am I doing all of this. What's the point. Why should I try.

Am I worth this? Do I really deserve this? I pull up my sleeve to reveal the scars lining my arm from elbow to wrist. There healing and have almost disappeared completely. Should I get my razor? No. Stop this. It won't help. I shut of the lights and quickly walk out of there and back into my room and read Wattpad stories till exhaustion takes over.

I wake up to my alarm pounding. Another day. Time to get up and face it. I wear my 'okay?okay.' long sleeves with white leggings and an oversized hoodie. I grab my bag and head off to school. As soon as I walk into school I feel somewhere that's it's not going to be a good day for me.

I predict right.

I see Alicia, Diane and Emily coming towards me. I quickly start walking in the opposite direction away from them. I manage to get away from them and into my first period math class.

The bell rings signalling the begin of class. Everyone starts piling into class. I'm next to the window near the front. The teacher walks in and we get to the lesson.

Math passes in a blur, and so does English ( I have that second period ) and I'm in lunch. I see Laura but not Megan. I haven't seen her today come to think about it. I guess she's sick.

Laura approaches me. " Hey Anna, why are you wearing a long sleeve, it's like 28 degrees outside. How are you not hot?" " I get chilly." I respond bluntly. " Hey I have to go to the library to get some homework done. I'll see you in bio ok? " I say to Laura. She nods and waves me goodbye.

I don't really need the library for homework. I go outside and walk over to one of the taller oak trees we have. I start climbing and I reach the spot I always sat at during my lunch from grade 9.

I put in my headphones and set the alarm for next period and let the music take me away.

It seems like no time has passed before I'm interrupted by a tapping on my shoulder. I open my eyes. " What are you -" I stop when I realize who it is.

Blue eyes stare back up at me. " What are you doing up there ? Bio already started." I frantically looks at the time. My alarm went off 10 minutes ago. " Thanks for coming to get me, now let's get back to class" I say as I start climbing down.

We walk to class in utter silence. I decide to break the tension.

"Thanks again" No response.

Ok then.

Back in class we started on our first assignment with our partners about ecosystems.

"Hey Michael, I'm going to stay after school researching for the project, do you want to stay with me?"

"Um yeah sure." He shyly responds back.

" Ok then see you at 2:30."I say as I pack up my stuff after the bell rings.

End of the day comes and I'm at the library waiting for Michael to show up. To pass the time I start on the assignment.

10 minutes later

Michael walks in like he's not late.

I walk up to him. "Where were you? We're supposed to be working on this together."

He grins at me. "Sorry sweetheart, got caught up with something."

Did he just call me sweetheart. My heart flutters a little at the thought.

" It's fine. Let me show you what I have so far."

They entire time, Michael kept his focus on me and he had this amazing smile plastered on his face that made me blush a little.

When the library started to close we walked outside.

"Hey Anna, I was wondering, maybe next time we could study over at my house" he said a little shyly.

I wasn't sure. I mean only the second day with this guy. But it was for the project so why not.

"Sure." He smiled back at me. "Here's my number. I'll text you the address. See you tomorrow sweetheart." And with a flash off a wink at me, he left me.

This wasn't good. But it was amazing.

I can't believe it.

I'm falling for Michael Williams.
