Chapter 6
It has been a week now, Edley had not been able to see Elliot because of her tasking training workload, and she was sure that this had also been the reason why he had not come to see her. They had finally settled the problem of the hierarchy class revelation ceremony. She could still remember it as she sat on her bed now thinking about him. It was around eight o'clock at night and she had just finished her dinner and was preparing to sleep but no sleep seems to be coming so she picked up a novel to read but her mind still was not concentrating on it but kept wandering back to Elliot. She remembered when she came back from the academy on her first day at the anomaly hierarchy class academy. She got home that afternoon and after having her launch she decided that she needs to see Elliot. At least to try to settle things with him because she could not really rest since that hierarchy classes revelation ceremony. She changed her clothes and put on a simple dress with custom slippers her mom got her a week ago. Only Edil was at home then and he said that their parent left to see a family friend. That they said they would be back later on in the evening. She told him that she was going to see Elliot that she should tell her parents just in case they ask of her and she left through the front door.
When she got to Elliot's house she met his mom Mrs. Dolores at the front door, she was just leaving the house.
"Good day Ma," Edley said curtsying in respect.
"Good day Edley, how are you dear?" Dolores asked smiling.
"Is Elliot home?"
"Yes, he just finished his launch. He should be in his room now."
"It seems you are going out?"
"Yes, I need to go see a friend. How is your mom?"
"She is fine, but she was not home when I was leaving the house."
"Okay, please send my regards to her. See you later dear."
"I will, thank you ma, bye." She said as she entered the house while Mrs. Dolores left on her way to see her friend.
She took the stairs to Elliot's room; she took a left at the top of the stairs and knocked on the third room.
"Who is it?" Elliot asked from inside the room.
"It's Edley," she replied.
"Oh! Please come in," he said opening the door to let her in.
"How are you dear?" Edley said looking into his eyes as she entered the room.
"Am fine, just finished with my launch, I was about to come to see you." He closed the door and walked over to the bed to sit down while Edley took one of the three cushions in the room.
"So how was your first day at the Autonomy hierarchy class academy?"
"Well generally a little bit confusing but fine, what about yours. Hope it was not too stressful?"
"No, well nothing I could not handle."
"Nice to hear."
"Elliot, am really sorry about the other day during the hierarchy revelation ceremony. About the way, you got to find out about the fact that I was selected for the anomaly hierarchy class."
"It's okay dear, I was angry that you did not trust me enough to tell me about the whole thing that I had to find out the way I did at the hierarchy classes revelation ceremony but when I sat down to think and put myself in your shoes. I understood why you could not tell me. You were finding it difficult to tell me after you found out that I was not selected for the same anomaly class."
