I think that Nya is a wonderful character. I can really tell that she can proctect herself, and mostly doesn't need any help. She has proven that she doesn't need a man to come and proctect her, and instead it's the other way around, because the ninja usually need her. When she revealed herself as the Samurai X, it was then actually, for me, that she was proven that she can proctect herself without anyone's help. When she learned that her mother was the Master of Water, and that, that elemental power was passed down to her, she used that power to help the ninja. I would wish to be like Nya, someone who can proctect themself's, and someone who doesn't depend on someone else for help.
