A girl blushes and laughs with her friends after a embarrassing secret shared by her. Little did she know someone was listening. Someone who decides to destroy the girls life. This little wicked boy didn't know he would ruin her life though, he thought it was a harmless prank. One harmless prank slips into a few mean jokes and the mean jokes tumble into an avalanche of horrible names constant shoving and continuous harassment from her so called friends. One day she realizes that all of her "friends" were her torturers and finds that she doesn't have one person she can truly call a friend. Two months before her birthday she tells her family they mock her and say she's merely being oversensitive and being told this she doesn't seek help from those who are supposed to support her. A month before her birthday a teacher notices some marks on her arms despite her best attempts to hide them. She's sent to the counselor and the counselor calls her family tells them to put her in therapy after not buying the little kitten scratches for a second time. The counselor recommends an elderly man who when the little girl tries to open up merely dismisses her feelings as being overly emotional and hormonal and advises her parents to put her on pills to help her suppress her out of control teenage emotions. They listen to him not her. She begins to say they are right to appease them, she takes her pills and pretends to be ok. More and more little kitten scratches, now on her legs so they won't be seen. A week before her birthday day she sees the boy just outside of school. He says hi and asks her how she is, she thinks maybe he's turning a new leaf, trying to be hopeful, until big hands grab her covering her mouth pinning her hands and legs, she screams but the few that pass by and laugh "Stupid girl getting what she deserves" and turn and walk away despite her pleas and screams. The little girl disappears in the crowd of boys that are three times the size of her. She tells her family again they accuse her of lying. The little girl's birthday her family get up early and set up some nice presents and breakfast for her, they go to wake the princess of the day. They come in the little girl is pale as snow and they try to wake her up. They lift the blanket to find a pool of blood with little kitten scratches all over her arms and legs and a razor. They notice a note on the far side of the bed. 'My last words' sprawled in her hand writing but it's shakey. They read it;
Dear family, I'm sorry I'm not as strong as you all I merely cannot bear this torture any longer I'm sorry I failed you. I have no hope, no joy, no reason to fight through the torment, no friends, no love. You believe I am lesser and a liar, I can't blame you none of you know what I have gone through and I hope you never have to. I'm sorry. Don't hide the little kitten scratches. I loved you even when you hated me.
Her younger sibling can make out two words in her scratches Whore and Liar again and again scarring so deep it looked like bones not skin.
They mourned her loss, everyone did the people who tortured her said they loved her and had no idea she was being bullied. Her family had no clue that she had felt so bad. Everyone said they were completely shocked. They all knew. They all lied. They made her hide her little kitten scratches. They caused her pain. She now weeps in her permanent sleep.
