No one POV

*With Carl, Lightning, Lena, James and Sazh*

Their airship is still moving towards to their destination as Sazh walks towards near the side of the ship and he saw what's happening on the hanging bridge.

He saw fighting raging on the hanging bridge as the PSICOM military continue to attack, while the others are fighting to live. Sazh sees it as he forms a angry face.

Sazh: It's an out-and-out massacre. Those people won't even live long enough to die on Pulse.

James and Lena is also watching on the other side as they saw what's happening. Carl and Lightning walks besides Sazh as they also looks down and see the fight raging on.

Lightning: ...That was the idea.

Sazh looks to Lightning with shocked expression as Carl spoke up as well.

Carl: Thanks to my spying skills, she's right. That's the Sanctum logic. *crosses his arms* They conjured up the purge to eliminate a threat.

Carl kneels down as he loads his gunblade and continues. While Lightning simply looks at Carl.

Carl: She told me that why carry the danger all the way to Pulse?

Carl stood up as Lightning speaks with Carl.

Lightning: Why not just stamp it out here?

Lightning prepares her gunblade as she looks to the raging fight while Carl can only do is look at the people fighting for their lives.

Lightning: Execution masquerading as exile. *looks to Sazh* That's all the purge ever was.

Carl shrugs as Sazh sighs as he holds on to a metal cable.

Sazh: 'Relocation on Pulse.' How does a government get away with pulling crap like that?

Sazh is visibly angry as Carl looks to the raging fight as he silently formed his hand on a fist. Sazh looks to Lightning.

Sazh: And you-you knew this was gonna happen?

Lightning shook her head, saying it's a no as Carl spoke up for her.

Carl: In a nutshell Samuel Jackson, purge was PSICOM. Private sanctum troops, not the guardian corps. She told me everything. Then s#it like this happens.

Sazh walks away while visibly angry, while Lightning looks away.

Sazh: PSICOM, guardian corps... Soldiers are soldiers, aren't they?

Carl and Lightning didn't look to Sazh, while James and Lena is also listening on the other side to their conversation.

Sazh: Pulse and fal'Cie, and their L'cie, are the enemies of the state.

Carl and Lightning looks to Sazh as they listen.

Sazh: Tell a soldier to kill an enemy and you really think it's gonna matter what uniform he's wearing?

Lightning starts to walk on the other direction as Carl follows her while readies his gunblade.

Lightning: Might have mattered to that one. But as a wise man said that-

Carl: Couldn't shoot, got himself shot instead.

Sazh stands besides Carl and Lightning as he spoke up again.

Sazh: How about you two? Hmm. Orders says shoot, you pull the trigger? *looks to Carl* And you young man, what will you do?

Carl and Lightning didn't answer as wind flows through them.
