Kayla was the girl that distanced herself from everyone. She doesn't have any friends. She wouldn't want to make friends... Not after what happened. Everybody thought she was weird and mysterious. Every time she walked through the halls of her school, there was at least one group of people talking about her. But she didn't care. People like those were only someone with a bad attitude and had nothing better to do with their lives. She didn't care about what people said about her. Not like before... She would always have this sickening feeling in her stomach whenever she would think about "them".
People wondered at school about her. She knew. She didn't like unwanted attention on her. Also she DEFINITELY didn't like people poking their noses into her business. Kayla always kept things to herself and that is how she wanted it. She doesn't want people knowing personal things about her. All they need to know was her name and that's it. Last time she opened up, she came to a conclusion of regretting that decision. This is why she is always distancing herself from everyone. It is what she needs to do, To protect herself from "those" people.
Kayla was doing her routine in the morning. She hated it. She didn't want to go to school with those idiots today, or any day really. She heard there was going to be a new student from those loud mouth gossiping girls that sit in front of her in class. That was that was the last thing she wanted, another idiot to add to her daily struggle.
Irritation filled her. While trying to calm her self down she heard the soothing voice of her mother calling out to her for breakfast. Her mother calmed her down thankfully. Her mother was the only thing keeping her sane. The only one that was there. The only one to help through those times...
"Have a good day at school sweetie! I love you!" Her mother yelled form the kitchen as Kayla was walking out the door.
Her mother's name was Akira Grayson. She was the sweetest person anyone knew. She always helped people. Akira owned the flower shop two blocks away from their house. Every time she came home Kayla could smell that flower goodness on her. It made Kayla feel happy and secure.
"Thanks mom! I love you too!" She replies to her mom. Then she walks out closing the door behind her and for split second she had a big smile. Until she cam back to reality.
Just like that, she is on her way to her so called "hell".
