Wolf and Woloxer were watching their big sister (also called Wolf, reason is unknown) prepare for a hunt. She was gathering all the wolves in the pack who are brave and old enough to go.
"Howler" Wolf called,
"Yes young cub?" Replied the pack leader, Howler.
"Can I please go on this hunt?I always wanted to catch a caribou or bison," begged Wolf.
"No. The caribou are migrating this winter, and if you get in their way, you won't stand a chance!" argued Howler.
"So how come my sister gets to go?" Wolfer retorted.
"Your sister is older than you and she has trained hard to become lead hunter in the pack" answered Howler calmly.
Wolf turned his tail angrily and trotted over to the den. At that moment his sister came bounding in.
" Bye Wolf, I'm leaving for the hunt!" she said to her little brother.
"Bye then" replied Wolf.
As his sister left the den, Wolf sat there thinking. He wished he could grow strong muscles and be able to go hunting large prey, like bison. Suddenly, Wolf had an idea. He could sneak out of the den and go after the hunters! He wasted no time at all, speeding out of the den as fast as a mountain hare with it's tail on fire. Wolf could hardly wait. He was finaly going hunting with his pack!
