I watched all the guys taking batting practice, preparing for the derby later this evening. Having the opportunity to travel with the braves crew, and to take pictures of the derby participants was a dream come true for me.

I have loved photography since I was a little girl, and I always loved baseball with a passion. Putting both together for the job I have today seemed like a unreachable fantasy growing up, and I feel so blessed every day.

I glanced up from my camera, smiling as I noticed Ronald Acuña stepping into the batters box. We are really close, and when I found out he was getting the opportunity to participate in the home run derby, I was elated.

I laughed as Ron flipped his bat playfully before getting ready for the first pitch.

I was so caught up in taking pictures, I didn't notice Freddie come up beside me, until he tapped me softly on the shoulder.

I jumped.

"Sorry liana, I didn't mean to scare you,"

Freddie freeman smiled apologetically down at me, I shook my head,

"Don't worry, you're fine."

"So are you enjoying taking pictures?"

My smile grew dazzlingly wider, shaking my head enthusiastically, I quickly agreed.

"Absolutely! It's a dream come true."
Freddie nodded,

"The specimens are pretty great too right?"

I rolled my eyes when he wriggled his eyebrows suggestively over to Ronald.

"Ronnie is very photogenic."

Freddie laughed at me, cutting our conversation short with a nudge to my side, looking up, I noticed that Ron was done and he was walking over to us.

"Hola."

He sent me a lopsided smile, and I giggled at his Spanish hello.

"Hi, you looked like you were having fun out there."

Ronald nodded, shaking out his hair as he agreed.

"Lots. Saw you taking pictures of me,"

He smirked down at me, I rolled my eyes again, smacking his chest lightly,

"I was taking pictures of everybody, it is my job you know."

He laughed again, catching my hand against his chest, he squeezed it lightly, before dropping it. Leaving me craving for more of the contact I knew I couldn't have.

"I'm really glad you got to come."

I smiled weakly up at him, trying to control my emotions.

"So am I, I know you'll do so good tonight."

Ron sent me another smile, before he left to head down into the clubhouse to get ready for the game with the rest of the guys.

I steadied my camera in my hands as I snapped a few more pictures of the scene playing out I front of me.

The game was electric, all the home runs the guys were hitting, the overtime tie breakers, everything going on was exciting and entertaining.

I was standing beside Freddie and his family as we waited for Ronald's round to be up, and when he came out, I held my breath in anticipation.

He was going up against josh bell, and I was anxious to see how it would play out. I was so busy cheering that I almost forgot I was supposed to be taking pictures.
