"...d I read, that she burned in that fire. She might been the fire queen, but she sure couldn't control those flames."

Ruth's words took a few seconds to register to Lukas
He stared; He couldn't believe his ears... He had just heard a story about Spoiled Royalty dying, and how she was the last Queen of Fire.

Ruth continued, "You know, I'm actually sorta glad she burned. One less idiot in the world is one step closer to a better planet. Besides, she deserved it."

Lukas didn't agree with this.

She didn't deserve it, she could've changed.
He understands the trauma and abuse the people surrounding her must of endured, and she felt bad, but... she could've just been... removed from the throne, and temporarily exhiled.

Not to mention, while her actions were her own, her parents and caretakers who raised her were partially blame aswell.

They spoiled her, giving her everything she wanted.
The only thing that truly makes a brat... well, a brat, is that they never mature; they never learn manners, therefore they never have to worry too much about anything, because they're taught indirectly that its "OK" to be rude , throw tantrums, and just straight-up be a jackass.

"But... What if she lived?" Lukas mumbled out, wondering if things didn't turn out the way everyone expected.

"Did you listen to anything I said earlier, Luke? Or were you too busy practicing with that fancy wooden staff of yours to care?" Seethed Ruth.

Lukas laughed, and replied,
"Yeah, yeah, I was. Sorry, it's just sometimes my brain doesn't register everything. Especially with that tale."

"It's not a tale," Ruth explained,
"It was written down in the history books. While it only happened 20 years ago, it was still important enough to write down."

"Also, careful with that staff." she said, as she grabbed the staff and stopped the absent-minded spinning Lukas had been doing.

"Ah, sorry. Old habits die hard, hah." He muttered out, turning slightly red from embarrassment.

"You have to stop muttering; most people can't hear you when you do it." She said, walking away.
"I have to go now; it's getting close to sundown. See you same spot, tomorrow?"

"Yeah, sure..." Lukas absent-mindedly replied. The gears in his brain were turning. He got a strange feeling from that tale...

Something in that story didn't quite add up to him.
