(i'm using the name Cat, but you can imagine your name in it)

I just came home from school even though it's 4:30 since my mom had to get her new phone and couldn't pick me up at 3.

I've just finished my homework and my mom is out running some errands, so she isn't home. I know she's probably very busy, but I need to text her and tell her that the mailman just dropped off a package for her and it's pretty big. The only thing is that I can't remember what she said that her phone number was. She told it to me in the car on the way home, but I was too busy jamming to "7 Rings" that happened to be on the radio so I wasn't really paying attention.

After 10 minutes of trying to remember the number, I decide to just wing it and use the digits I could remember plus a few extra to fill in the spaces. It wasn't definite, but it was good enough, I assumed. So, I sent my first text to this pretty much unknown number.

Me: hey! is this your new number
mom? this is Cat!

Me: hey ari! sorry for the
mix up. how old are u?
                                        Unknown: i'm 26. wbu?
Me: oh wow well i seem like a
baby now bc i'm 14. wanna be
