Harry's POV
It was June the fifth, 1998 after classes had ended and I was just taking a walk around the castle I had called home for 7 years of my life. Including during horcrux hunting.
For once, I was alone. Ron and Hermione had adopted an annoying habit of following me around all the time. It was really getting on my nerves honestly.
Eventually, I reached a familiar place. The wall leading to the room of requirements. I hadn't been there since the war. I began to pace thinking of the wish I had been longing to come true.
A simple wooden door appeared. I was ecstatic to see what the room would come up with. How stupid I was for opening it.
Once opened, I stepped inside to find a wooden table with a note, a broken mirror and potion.
I cautiously picked up the note which read;
Drink the potion. Hold onto a piece of the mirror when you take it, it will travel with you. The mirror shows you what you want to see. All you ought to do is ask.
It was like a dream come true. So much so that I didn't hesitate to do as the note said. Picking up the potion and a small piece of the mirror, I downed the awful tasting potion.
The feeling I got when I took the potion was agony yet comforting, somewhat familiar. It was truly magical. Then, the world started spinning out of existence, into an endless, black mass, filled with stars and planets.
After a few seconds, a vast field full of trees and flowers. A swing hung from the nearest tree. In the distance was a huge mansion.
From that mansion, a teenager emerged. He was followed by 3 laughing boys. The first teen had windswept black hair and square glasses. To his left was a handsome lad with long, wavy black hair tied back elegantly. At the right of the first lad, was a short boy with sandy hair and scars across his face. Behind them all, was a short, chubby blonde that reminded me of Dudley and slightly of a rat.
I felt as though I knew them from somewhere. The boy in the middle came to a stop in front of me.
I feel as though I should mention that I was on the floor in a weakened state, holding a piece of a broken mirror.
He stiffened and stared at me before cautiously asking "Who are you and why are you here? This is private land. You are trespassing in my garden. State your business here!"
"I- I'm H-Harry. Sorry. I d-didn't know this w-was y-your land, I d-don't know where I-i am." I looked down, not knowing what these strangers might do.
"James. The poor lad's terrified, can't you see that?" A familiar voice filled my ears. The only difference being that it sounded younger and more carefree.
The person with the familiar voice bent down and asked, "You alright? Do you want chocolate? It always makes me feel better." This was Remus Lupin alright. Shabby robes and all.
"I-I'm fine. Who are you? Where am I? What date is it?" I asked getting panicked now.
"I'm James Potter, of course! How do you not know that? You're in the garden of Potter manor. The date is the fifteenth of August 1977." The boy with messy black hair and similar looks to me exclaimed, looking confused at how I didn't know him.
"Sirius Black, duh! What rock have you been living under, mate?" The lad with long black hair asked, grey-blue eyes staring at me.
"I'm Remus Lupin. Don't mind them. They're a bit idiotic." Remus grinned. "I don't believe we got your last name...?"
"Harry... Granger! That's my name." I told them after thinking a bit. "Sorry, I think I hit my head. I don't remember much it's slowly coming back to me. Anyway, what's your name?" I asked the small, Dudley lookalike. I was sure I already knew the answer and was dreading it.
