Here we are again. In the dreaded English class. We are reading about this book where this girl can read minds and stuff. To be completely honest, I am paying no attention. All of my attention is going to Ashton Lock. He is my crush.... and no he doesn't know it, and no body else does either.
" Ava! Are you paying any attention!?" Mrs. Smith yells.
" I- um.." I begin to stutter.
She cut me off with, " just pay attention." Then she started to go on about mind readers. What if some, or all, of my classmates are mind readers?
" I WANT TO GO HOME!" I yell at the top of my lungs in my mind. As soon as I said that, Ashton flinched. It was probably a coincidence so I yelled in my mind again, " TAKE ME HOME!" He flinched again and looked straight at me. My crush is a mind reader. Oh my gosh. I get broke out of my trance by the school bell. Time to go to lunch.
I grab my stuff and shove it in my bag and sigh as I head out the door. Then, I feel someone grab my wrist. I turn around and there he was. Ashton.
" Ava.. Would you like me to take you home? I- you don't look like your feeling ok." I just stand there. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. He must have READ MY MIND because he started to smirk.
" H- Can you read minds?" I ask, furrowing my brows. He looks around for a moment and pulls me into an empty, dark classroom.
" Who told you?" He asked looking concerned.
" N-no one. I- I just wanted to know if any of my classmates could.. And you can."
" Ava, we're going home." He tells me holding my wrist while dragging me to his car.
" We're!?" I ask excited,yet nervous.
" You're coming to my house. Just for a little bit." He says looking over his shoulder a bit to look at me.I nodded to let him know I understood.
~~~~~~ In The Car~~~~~~~
I started to think of what me and Ashton could be in the future, forgetting he could read minds. I thought about how after high school, we could maybe possibly marry and have kids...
" Ava..." he said
"Yeah...? Oh crap I forgot you read minds I-" I was so embarrassed.
" It's ok. I've been wanting to ask you out for a while now but... you just made it 30 times easier.." he chuckles. " Ava, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks, adverting his eyes from the road to me for a second.
" Y-yes!" I'm. Star. Struck.
" Yes!" He says cheering. " Welp, we're at my house now so... you can meet my mom and dad." He says. He then gets out of the car and runs to the other side. He grabs my hand and then we start running up to his house.
His house is a friggin mansion. It's so beautiful. The inside was white. White everything with a chandelier hanging on the high ceiling of the living room.
" Ashton? Who is this?" His mom asks, smiling.
" Mom, this is Ava. My girlfriend." He says looking to the side at me and smirking. His mom then looks at me with a face of disgust.
" Don't ever look at her like that again." He says sternly to his mom. I squeeze his hand to let him know it's ok. His mom just walks away into the kitchen. Wow.
Ashton then pulls me back outside and tells me to get in the car. I do so, scared of what he might do if I don't.
~~~~~~~~~ 45 minutes later~~~~~~
I don't even know how long it's been since we've started driving, but it has been a while.
I look up and see a hotel. But not one of those crappy, run-down ones. This one has a pool and multiple stores and looks very well kept. Ashton told me to wait in the car while he gets us a room. He is back now, leading me to our room.
Since it was pretty late, me and Ashton decided to go to sleep. Who knew today would end up like this.

" Mommy, Daddy is still asleep! Can I go wake him up?" My 5 year old daughter says to me while I'm cooking breakfast.
" Yes." I say smiling at her. She beamed and ran down the hall to wake my husband up. I heard footsteps coming back down the hall as I set the table.
" My favorite!" Ashton says digging into his plate of pancakes and bacon. My daughter does the same. Who knew that day, 7 years ago, would lead to this..
