Backstory:
When Coltwas around 13 he discovered his powers, but he never told anyone about it, thinking they'd hurt him if they knew. Up until he grew up acting like a normal kid, though when he had time he trained up his powers, getting better at them in secret. At one point, his brother found out, and promised he wouldn't tell their parents of he helped him steal stuff from a small convenience store. Scared and, like I said, a bit of an idiot, he went through with it, and a few days after he and his brother were nearly caught before he got the letter, so he went to the school while his brother went to jail.
