2. Something to give

I hold no grudge to what happened between Shuu and me. I just followed the flow and use the moment to tease him. I think he deserved it. I feel sorry for using the kitten to get him though.

Truthfully, it's hurt to see Shuu acting like nothing after he bombarded me with those hurtful words. I know, he only spoke the truth, at least half of them. But I can't let him have his way in treating me.

He should realize, I'm not the only one who concerned about Minato. He is one of us, or he might even more attracted to Minato than I am. So, what with that "I'm obsess with Minato" sort of thing?

Maybe I should take time in finding the cat-person to own Maru after all. Let him take care the kitten, and learn how to be gentle and considerate when speaking out his mind.

Ding~

Shuu asked me your mail address. Can I give him?

From: Minato]

I know this coming since we don't have each other mail address. Minato is close to both of us. But Shuu and me, there is a kind of wall that separating us. He is more like a friend of my friend and we also have this weird friend enemy sort of relationship.

[To: Minato

Yeah. You can.

From: Me]

I throw the smartphone away gently to my bed, so I can focus doing homework on my study desk.

"Hmm, maybe I can ask the others about the kitten during club activity tomorrow."

Ding~

[To: Me

This is Shuu. Let me know when you find someone to take care of Maru.

From: Unknown mail address]

Geh, that's fast.

[To: Shuu

Okay. Please take care of Maru.

From: Me]

And....

It's been a few days since the day we found Maru but I haven't found anyone who's willing to take him in. Unconsciously, I letting out a heavy sigh of stress.

"Are you okay, Seiya? You look depressed. You still looking for someone to take the kitten?"

Ah, is it shown on my face? Even Ryouhei able to tell what's on my mind. We've been volunteered ourselves to help a teacher and asked the other Kyudo's members to go home first.

"Yeah. I asked around the school but most of them already own pets. The others are just not cat-person. I think, I have to find someone from outside the school."

"Why don't you ask Minato about it? You have asked us without Minato on the other day."

I pausing for a moment. I know Minato likes dog but I'm not sure if he likes cat. Another reason is..

"He's living with his father. I assume they have no time to take care of pet. That's why, I don't want to bother asking him."

"Oh, you're right. I forget about that."

Maybe I'll ask Minato later but Shuu might already told and asked him. So, if Minato agree to take Maru in, Minato or Shuu will tell me about it. I'll check with Minato as soon I get back home.

"Thanks for your concern, Ryouhei. Don't worry, I'll find somebody soon. See you tomorrow."

As I parting ways with Ryouhei, I decided to stop by at konbini store. However, I saw Minato and Shuu are having a fun conversation outside the store. Maybe, I shouldn't bother them. I have nothing to talk about except about Kyudo club and... the kitten.

"Seiya!"

Ah, they saw me and Minato calling out my name even before I could decide my action.

"Hi, there. I thought you already went home, Minato."

This small talk sounds lame but let me just follow the flow.

"We meet coincidentally again in this store. Shuu told me about a kitten that you found together and asked me if I could take the kitten in."

I hope that I am the one to ask about it but Shuu asked him first. This situation is feels like getting complicated.

"I thought you already ask Minato about the kitten, Seiya. Are you really trying to find somebody to take care of the cat?"

See.. He sounded like he is blaming me for delaying the process of finding the suitable person.

"I'm about to ask Minato today. But you beat me on that. So, are you interested in taking a cat as your pet, Minato?"

"Sorry, but I can't take any pet for now. Nobody is home to take care of it."

I thought so. I guess, Shuu doesn't understand Minato's family situation.

"Don't worry about it, Minato. We will find that somebody soon. I'm going home. You're going with me right?"

"Ah, yeah.. I'm going. I want to see the kitten. Do you want come with me, Seiya?"

What is this. Shuu invited Minato to go to his house and showing the kitten to him? Why don't you just own the kitten already, Fujiwara Shuu? That's better than showing something off that you denied to own. I also hate that glance of yours, Shuu. Have it your way.

"No. I'm going home, Minato. Then, see you tomorrow."

I don't know what kind of expression I'm showing right now. But I realize, the steps I'm taking are getting faster. I just want to get out from their sight as soon as possible. This feeling is kinda hurt and I hate it. A feeling of running away.

Ding~

[To: Me

I will ask Minato to help us finding the right person to own Maru. I will take care of Maru until then.

From: Shuu]

Whatever.
