Chapter 1
I opened my eyes I try to see but I’m blinded by the white light. I can’t remember how I can’t remember why I’m lying here tonight…
My heavy eyelids remained closed as opening them took too much energy and pain. The smell of bleach overpowered my sense of smell and the beeping of monitors filled my throbbing ears, alerting me that I was in a hospital. I hate hospital! It’s always too clean and you can’t go anywhere on your own. Flexing my fingers I could feel a warm hand and somehow this comforted me. My eyelids fluttered open to the sight of a man. He looked so tired and exhausted while his hazel eyes filled with tears. Confusion filled my emotions; unknowing of the news that was yet to come. Trying to speak seemed like an impossible task but I wanted to know how! Why am I here? Unfortunately all I could muster was a pathetic croak.
“Well Delilah it seems you have amnesia which is highly common in your state however because of brain damage you might suffer from this permanently. I am so very sorry.” After that, the strange person in the white coat left the room. I was vaguely aware of a women enter the room before my vision faltered and sent me into a deep slumber. One of which I wished I’d never entered.
“Dad?!” I screamed repeatedly but no matter how loud I screamed nobody could hear me. The orange flames danced endlessly around me crackling with laughter as it drew closer, devouring every inch of the car before engulfing me and taking my sight. All I could do was feel the endless torture it put me through. I just wanted to rip my skin and flesh off never to feel again. I never reached the peace that was supposed to come with death; I never died. The torture just left me screaming inside trying to break free; I had no such luck.
I can’t stand the pain, and I can’t make it go away, I can’t stand the pain…
Everything felt different; cold even, but even that didn’t scare me. For a few minutes I wondered if I’d even woken up but then I saw the door open and heard somebody walk in. The shadow told me it wasn’t the man that had been here before I fell asleep with the red hair and hazel eyes. This figure was much too short and this made me feel uncomfortable. “Delilah? Are you awake? It’s me Simon.”
Simon? Who’s Simon? Who’s Delilah? Is that me? I turned my head to face him and that’s when I saw his beauty.
His gorgeous bright blue eyes made his deathly pale complexion ravish with even more beauty than I thought were even possible. While his slight curves showed his feminine side without intention with the help of his tight black top and jet black skinny jeans.
I opened my mouth to speak but couldn’t think of the words to say to tell him what I wanted. What is his name? Sean? Stephen? Steve? Sam? S…s…sim…SIMON! That’s it! Simon!
“Simon? Who are you? What am I doing here?”
Words couldn’t comprehend the emotions taking over my body when the door opened again and the beautiful boy disappeared from my sight. Vaguely hearing muffled sobs, I drifted off into the quiet and consuming darkness.
How could this happen to me? I’ve made my mistakes. Got nowhere to run, the night goes on as I’m fading away. I’m sick of this life. I just wanna scream! How could this happen to me?
“I’m sorry to say Mr Leto that she might not recover. There was too much damage to her brain in the accident. In the event that she might recover; she could lose her memory.”
Who are those two people?
