Chapter 5 - Fake Love

Author's note: So I had no idea what to do for the chapter, so my friend BTS_BNHA212 gave me the whole idea for this chapter, I wrote it but full credit to her for giving me something to write ;/; lol okay into the chapter

Kirishima's POV:
Like every normal day at school, I was walking to the  Cafeteria. Then Kaminari came up to me. "Oh hey Kaminari" I said to him. "Hey, don't you have a crush on Atsuko?" He asked. That was really random and, how did he know!? Who else knows I like her?! Oh god does she know I like her? "U-Uh why w-would you t-think t-that!?" I managed to stutter out. I gulped scared at what his reply would be. "Well it's kinda obvious dude, but it's okay. Im gonna help you make her jealous and then she'll fall in love with you!" he exclaimed. Why was he so happy about this? And that wasn't a very good plan.. "F-fall in l-love with m-me!? Wait- no! Why would you do that? What makes you think I'll do it?!" I stuttered. "Cmon dude! Don't you want her to at least like you?" He asked. "Well of course I do! But I'm like 100% sure she doesn't like me..so getting a fake girlfriend won't do anything." I sighed. "Just try it dude! If she gets jealous you'll know she likes you! If she doesn't then 'pretend' you break up with your 'girlfriend'! Well either way you'll have to...you get the point!" He said. "Okay..fine" I agreed.

Later that day we set up my new 'fake girlfriend' plan. Her name was Tanith Hamada, she was born here in Japan but then moved to America to go to school over there. I met her online. And well that's all Atsuko needed to know. "What if she asks what she looks like? Or for a picture of her?!" I asked him. I was genuinely scared that this wouldn't work.. "she has brown eyes, short green hair, and say you guys only video call, you don't have an actual picture of her, okay?" He said to me, trying to get me to calm down. "Okay,  brown eyes, short green hair..okay." I said. I repeated it in my head, "brown eyes and short green hair...". I sighed desperately hoping this would work. "Okay, well I should probably start heading home, see you at school tomorrow dude!" Kaminari said as he grabbed his backpack. "Okay bye.." I said still repeating "brown eyes, short green hair" in my head.

I woke up the next morning not very excited about this plan...I got up and sighed

Atsuko's POV:
I was at my locker putting my stuff away when Kirishima came up to me. He seem kinda excited.

3rd Person POV:
Kirishima tried acting excited, but he wasn't at all, because he was going to lie to Atsuko. "Hey Kiri!" She said to the red-haired boy. "Hey Atsuko!" Kirishima said back in a fake excited voice, but it was believable enough for Atsuko so he went with it. "Atsuko guess what! You won't believe it! I got a girlfriend!" The shark-like toothed boy said. Then a rush of sadness washed over Atsuko 'He has a girlfriend..' thought to herself. A frown was tugging at her lips but she fought back and gave him a fake smile. "Really Kiri? That's great!" She said to the 'happy' boy as she held back her tears. 'That's great'...she said it's great I have a girlfriend..no there might still be a chance just wait Eijiro' Kirishima told himself. "E-Excuse m-me" Atsuko stuttered our and she ran to the bathroom. Tears were falling, her heart was shattered into a thousand pieces. Kirishima stood there, not knowing why she ran off. (That's Kiri being the Oblivious boy he is)

Atsuko's POV:
I was in the girl's bathroom, balling my eyes out. 'Kirishima has a girlfriend' I thought to myself. Now I had no chance with him. Ashido lied to me.. I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes were red and puffy. I tried calming myself. The tears finally stopped. Then I realized I was late to class. I ran into class 1-A with my eyes still red and puffy. I sat in my seat and apologized for being late.

Kirishima's POV:
Atsuko has come to class late, and I could tell she was crying. 'why was she crying?' I thought to myself 'is it because of me?' I thought. I looked over at her with a sad look on my face. I sighed and continued paying attention to the teacher.

3rd person POV:
Atsuko has missed a few days of school. It was already Saturday. She locked herself in her room, she only left her room to eat (she has a bathroom in her room). Her dad was worried about her. She never said why she was so upset. But it's because she couldn't bare the thought of not being able to have kirishima in a way that's not them being best friends. Saturday morning she woke up, with tissues all over the floor, she felt slightly better today. Then she heard a knock on her room door. She figured it was her dad, and she was feeling better so she answered, "come in!". Then the door opened, and the one and only Kirishima was at the door. "Oh..it's you.." She said. She sounded disappointed but on the inside she was happy to see him. "Hey Atsuko..." He said softly. His voice was like music to Atsuko's voice. He walked in and sat at the edge of her bed. "If it make you feel any better me and my 'girlfriend' broke up" He said to her softly. It did make her feel better but she wasn't going to admit to that, obviously. "Oh.." she managed to choke out. "Atsuko there's something I need to tell you..." Kirishima spoke out softly. Atsuko was nervous about he was going to say. Kirishima took a deep breathe. 'It's now or never' he told himself. "I-I" he began. "I like you Atsuko" He said after a short moment
