Humans have been gone for years, being replaced by mythical creatures. Until one day a human was born. No one knows how they were born. Their parents don't even know how. Once they reached school age, their peers don't want to become familiar with this human.
If you want, you could add a romance element. A mythical creature falls in love with the human. Once they do, the other creatures ridicule them. Or, they could hide their feelings in order to not be judged.
