Za'Liayah in the MM

Sometimes you have to get rid of the

unnecessary things in your life, and just focus

on the things that make you a better person.

Armani's POV:

10:12 am is what my clock currently reads. I've been staring at it for over three hours now thinking about any and everything. I was deep in my thoughts when my phone started to ring, I stared at it contemplating it I should answer it or not. I slid the answer button, then walked downstairs in the process.

"Hello?"

"Hi um.. is this Armani.?" the soft spoken girl said through the receiver.

"Yeah, who this.?" I said scrunching up my face in confusion.

"This is Za'Liayah... from the hospital." she said with a little more confidence in her voice.

"Ohh wassup?" I said remembering that we exchanged numbers right before we got the news about Lil Tee.

"Nothing bored... We should chill together sometime." she said with her accent seeping through. It wasn't a Harlem accent like Liberty's or even mine, it was more of a new yorker accent. "Aight, what about today roun' 3?" I said blankly.

"Okay that sounds coo' i'll see ya' then." she said. I could tell she was smiling by the way she talked.

"I'mma holla at you later ma'." i said while hanging up the phone not waiting for her reply.

I made my way to the kitchen to grab some breakfast before heading out to holla at Lil Tee since ole' girl pissed me off to the point I had to leave. While looking for something to grub on there was a loud knock on my door.
"Why in the hell are you kn- wait Liberty?" I said oblivious to what I was originally going to say.

"Damn can you put the gun away, I just came to talk to you.!" Why is this broad at my door in the first place I don't want to see her.

"Liberty what do you want.?" I said scrunching up my eyebrows.

"I just told you , I came here to talk what don't you understand about that! She said getting loud and smart.

"Mann fuck outta here with that smart ass attitude cause I aint with it!" I said getting real annoyed with the way she's been acting lately.

"Whatever are you going to let me in or do i have to stand in the cold!" she snapped.

I sucked my teeth before saying "You can stay yo' ass out here if ya' don't fix that attitude I don't care how cold it is outside." I didn't mean to sound so heartless but it was the truth just cause you flesh and blood don't mean I have to let you in My house after you came up to My doorstep wanting to talk to me about some shit I didn't ask you to knock on MY door.

"Aight damn, I'm sorry." she said mumbling the last part while fiddling with her fingers.

I smirked "What was that i didn't here you."

"Bruh I already said it once I ain't saying it again." She snapped while glaring at me and crossing her arms.

"Well I hope you don't die from the cold on my doorstep cause Lord knows I don't need to go back to jail."

"Ok, ok I said i'm sorry i ain't mean to snap on yo' ugly ass." she said laughing. Liberty is about 4'9 , has a Puerto Rican skin tone, curly hair , big hazel eyes, and a thick frame.

"I guess I except yo' wack ass apology then, get yo' ugly ass in here." I said closing and lock the door after she came in.

"I know you got some food up in here Mani." she said searching through my fridge.

"Nah, I was about to cook something right before you started banging on my door like you the feds or some shit." I said looking over in her direction.

"Oh aight well you can cook later this is more important." she said ploping down on the large couch that was arranged to be in the middle of the living room.

"Ight spit it" I said curious as to what can be more important than food.

"Well. . umm.. y-your fava is back." She said with her thick harlem accent while twiddling her thumbs and looking at the ground. My dad has been no where to be found since I was two years ole' and now he wants to show up 18 years later? Nah that shit don't sit right with me. This nigga wasn't even at his own baby mama's funeral how fucked up is that! The damn bastard ain't call none of that shit and he choses now to pop up in my damn life hell fucking no!

"Mann I don't wanna hear about that nigga! He ain't shit to me point fucking blank!" I spat getting pissed off just by thinking about that worthless nigga.

"Mani you can't just go roun' hating your fava just cause he wasn't in ya' life you feel me?" She said looking at me with those big hazel eyes of her's.

I chuckled while shrugging my shoulders "Watch me."
