Grandparents

Betty and Jughead have been married for 35 years. They have a daughter name Juliet who's all grown up and married.

Jughead's pov
Juliet called around noon saying she has big news. Maybe a job promotion. She told all of us to leave work early to hear the news. "Betts, do you have any idea what the surprise could be?" I asked. "I don't know maybe job promotion or their moving. I honestly have no idea. Veronica and Archie don't know either." She said. Oh yeah by the way, Veronica and Archie's son Ryan is Juliet's husband. *front door opens* "Hello! We're here!" Juliet yells. Everyone is greeting each other. "Hi Daddy!" Juliet said. "Hi sweetie. You haven't called me Daddy in a long time. I guess the news is that huge." "Jules, what's the big news?" Betty said. "Job promotion?" Archie said. "You're moving?" Veronica says. "Guys, they aren't moving because they have the best jobs yet. Job promotion is a possibility but what's the big news?" I said. "Tell them." Ryan said. "Well it's not a job promotion but that would be nice. We are not moving either. Here's what's happening. You're going to be grandparents!" Juliet said. "Oh my god what?!" Everyone yelled in excitement. "I'm pregnant!" Juliet said to be clear. I sat on my chair in shocked but happy. Apparently everyone was staring at me since I was silent. "Dad, are you not happy? Juliet said. I got up and walked to her and gave her the biggest hug possible. "Sweetie, I'm so happy for you and Ryan. I'm just in shock but happy shocked." I said.

Later that night

"Betts, we're going to be grandparents." I said all happy like a kid at a candy store."I know. I can't wait to meet him or her. Are we getting that old Jug? It feels like it was yesterday that we brought her home." She said. "I know. She's all grown up. I'm still kind of at the point where you told me that we were going to have her. I just hope our grandchild doesn't make as many stupid decisions like Archie level stupid." I say laughing. "Oh my god I haven't thought about that." Betty said laughing.

9 months later

Still Jughead's pov
My grandchild is due any day now and I can't wait. I'm too excited to be a grandpa and seeing Betty be a grandma. I'm mostly excited to see the next chapter of Juliet's life. Her and Ryan are going to be the best parents yet. I just got home from a long day from The Register. I came to the kitchen and saw Betty singing and dancing her heart and soul out to her favorite band Queen while cooking dinner. After dinner, Betty and I got some snacks ready to watch some movies until we got the call. The call. Ryan called Betty right as we were about to start watching Grease and said that the baby was coming. We called Veronica and Archie and we all rushed to the hospital knowing it's going to be a very long night. 10 hours later the doctor came and I woke everybody up. The doctor told us that we have a grandchild. We go into the room and I saw my baby has her baby. We were all teared up. "Jules, what's its name?" I asked. They wanted the gender of the baby a surprise. "Well, meet Ben Andrews." Juliet said.

Betty's pov
I'm a grandmother. I can't believe it. Jules handed me Ben and he's the most handsomest baby I've ever seen. He looks so much like Jughead. He has his eyes and hair but his facial features of Ryan and Archie. I hand Ben to Jughead and I swear Jughead was over the moon happy. I saw in his eyes that they were going to do grandpa and grandson things along with Archie. This beautiful boy who's my grandson is the greatest gift I've ever gotten yet besides Juliet and marrying Jughead.
