It was Teena's first day of school. At 5:28 am, Teena woke up energetically and rubbed her eyes. She got up from her bed and she could see the inspiration quote she printed out and pasted on her wall and cheered herself up.
Then, she looked for her pink alarm clock and looked at the time. She woke up 2 minutes earlier before her alarm clock rang. She went to her bathroom to take her shower and brush her teeth. After she had just finished brushing her teeth and taking her shower, her mum yelled from downstairs,
"Teena, come down and eat your breakfast!"
"Okay, I will be in a while", replied Teena.
She quickly wore her school uniform, bring her pink school bag and went down to the dinning table. She saw her favourite breakfast on the table! Her lovely mum, Mrs Anne prepared creamy egg sandwiches, fluffy pancakes and some crispy bacon. She also pour a glass of warm milk for Teena. What a lovely mum! Teena put down her bag on the sofa and sat on the chair in the dinning room and opposite her mum.
"Good morning!", her dad, Mr Scott who came down from upstairs.
"Morning!", his beloved wife and daughter replied.
Then, her dad sat beside Teena's mum and had their breakfast together.
"It's your first day of school today, you should make a friend at school.", his dad adviced Teena.
"Yes, your dad is right. You should be friendly instead of being shy.", her mum agreed.
"Okay... I will try my best.", Teena replied unsurely.
"You shouldn't TRY, you MUST", her dad advised again.
Teena felt so much pressure. She didn't want to let her parents upset.
After they had finished their breakfast, Teena get her school bag while her dad get his leather document folder.
"Sorry Teena, I can't go to your school with you because I need to take care of your sister, Tiffany. Honey, can you go with Teena?", Mrs Anne felt sorry.
"Sure, but I need to go to my office at 9 am.", Mr Scott replied.
It's 6 am already, Teena and her dad need to head to her school.
"Bye, make your day a good day!", her mum said with a big smile on her face.
"Bye mum!", Teena replied and waved her hand while she was putting her new black shoes on.
"Bye honey!", Mr Scott replied lovely while he was putting his new leather shoes on.
After that, Teena and her dad leaved the house.
While they were on the way to her school, Teena looked out the window and felt worried of what her parents said when they were having their breakfast. His dad noticed that Teena looked worried and asked her,
"Teena? Are you worry of what we said just now?".
"No dad, I'm fine!", Teena replied nervously.
"Are you sure? It's not hard to make a friend. You just need to be extrovert and friendly.", her dad advised.
"Okay. Thanks dad", Teena replied.
When they arrived at her school, her dad parked at the car park.
"Let's go, Teena!", Mr Scott told Teena.
Then, they entered the lobby and a teacher asked them to enter to the hall.
There was a bulletin board and Teena looked for her class. She was Year 7A student.
"Which class are you?", a kind teacher asked Teena.
"Year...7A", Teena replied shyly.
"Ooo... please sit there", the teacher replied.
Teena and her dad sat sperately at different categories, 'Parents and Guardians' and 'Students'.
"Dear parents and students, welcome to Princess Secondary School. I'm the principal, Ms Jennifer. Thank you for coming today.", the principal announced.
It was 9 am, Teena's dad had to leave but the speeches had not ended.
"Teena, I need to go now.", he felt sorry. "Here's $2, go buy some food at the canteen during your break time."
"Okay dad. Bye!", replied Teena.
Her dad leaved the hall and headed to his office.
It was 10 am, they were allowed to have their break and Teena brought the $2 that her dad gave to her to the canteen and look for some food to eat. She saw her favourite egg sandwich but she had just ate this morning so she decided to buy a pasta. After that, she looked around to find a seat and she saw a empty seat beside a girl.
Then, Teena sat beside her. Teena talked to herself,
"Dad and mum wants me to make a friend, but...".Suddenly a sweet and low volume sound spoke out from the girl,
"Hi... I'm Farhana."Teena was frightened and replied her shyly, "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Teena."
Just like that, they started to chit chatting while having their meal and Teena found out that Farhana's parents also asked her to make a friend.
"Ring, ring, ring...",the bell rang to signal them that their break time already ended. They quickly rushed to the hall and sat together.
When all of the year 7 students arrived the hall, the teacher started to give some announcement and rules of the school.
It was 12:30 pm, the teacher ended with,
"Remember that we going to have orientation for 5 days in this hall, so come to this hall when you arrived at school in the morning! You may go now.".
Everyone dashed out of the hall to go back home while Teena and Farhana walked steadily to the pick-up point while chit-chatting.
When they reached the pick up point, Teena saw her dad was waiting for her and Farhana's dad was also waiting for Farhana.
"Bye Farhana. See you tomorrow.", Teena said cheerfully with a smile.
"See you!", Farhana replied.
Teena and Farhana splitted into two ways to their father's car.
"Seem like you made a friend.", Teena's father said happily.
"Yup, I did it!",Teena replied happily and proudly.
Then they began to talk about Farhana while on the way back to their house.
While,Farhana's father also asked her,
"You made a friend? What is her name?"
"Yes, she's Teena.", Farhana replied.
They also began to talk about Teena.
