CHAPTER NINE

Stanley was lieing on Precious bed in her apartment at Ibadan, Precious was serving at NTA, Ibadan, while Stanley was serving at coca cola company.

Precious was resting her head on Stanley's chest, while they discuss.
      "That's not it, not everyone that study Theater and media arts wants to become an actress or dancer". Precious said

      "I know, but yours is surprising, your department gave you prize for being the best dancer. "Stanley said playing with her hair.

     "Whatever, but am achieving my ambition that all that matters" Stanley kiss her on the forehead. "Am proud of you "

    "Thank you"she stands from her position. "I want to check what am cooking, am  coming "she leaves the room. Stanley glance around the room to find something to keep himself busy, but he couldn't find cause the room is full with media and communication textbook and some novels, which he have never been a fams. So, he get hold of Precious phone, looking at her pictures when a WhatsApp message popped.

     "I don't know what of person she is, she would never off her data and yet won't reply messages " Stanley said, and another message popped which got his attention

    HOPE💕:Babes it's not that I don't wanna see you, but you've waited for five years, what happened to waiting till three month. Try and understand me. I love you
Hope💕:You have not been replying message, pls talk to me. Are you okay?

Stanley strolled the message up, and was reading their conversation.

    "So am a substitute, Nana never mentioned Hope to me, who is he? "
Precious entered. "Would you come over to the living room or is should bring your food here?. Precious said but Stanley wasn't listen he was lost in his own thought. Precious was amazed seeing him lost in his thought and her phone in his hand, then she peeped at her phone to see what makes him go that far into thinking land. Then she saw him checking on her WhatsApp messenger, and not  only that he was checking her conversation . She was angry, she snatched the phone from his hands, then he gained his conscious

     "Why are you invading my privacy? How can you just take my phone and start checking my chats? "Precious said angrily.

    "Hey babes, we can settle this, and why are angry at first? "Stanley said gently to avoid fight with her

      "There is nothing to settle "
Stanley was furious at this time.

     "Then, who is Hope? "Precious was caught off guard with the question, she knew he've check their conversation, there is no escape route.

     "A friend "

     "I want to know more"

    "Nothing more"Stanley held her hands.

     "Please tell me who is he? "

       "He is my first love"Stanley was surprised cause he never hear the story about her and a boyfriend

     "Where is he? "

    "I don't know"

    "Excuse me"

   "I don't know who is he, I don't know where is he,  I don't how he looks like"she said in tears. Stanley was dumbfounded, not knowing what to do. "I thought you love me"he said in whisper

     "I never said that, am just trying to "

    "Is that why you never replied me when I say I love you? "Precious was in tears and couldn't talk. Stanley held her and make her face him.

    "Tell me you love me, and we would forget about this". Stanley said

    "Am sorry Stanley I tried but can't, I want to but can't. Am sorry Stanley. "She said.

     "Why did you make me believe, when you don't. Precious why did you make me fall in love, when you  know the love would fall me? "Stanley said angrily .

  "Am sorry Stanley. "She said and pleaded.

Stanley stands to take his leave. "You don't need to plead, am the one that was stupid, I should have forgotten since your brother asked me to. "He didn't wait for reply before he leave. Precious was dumbfounded, all she do was crying
