She tried to stop Kangwoo from strangling the man. But Kangwoo didn't listen. He tightened the wire, his eyes changed into something Kwonjoo didn't recognize. She tried to stand, but her legs had grown weary. The wound on her ear continue to sting, blood oozing and soaked her uniform. She collapsed once again onto the floor. Now everything was lopsided. The man Kangwoo was strangling started to lose his breath. Kwonjoo tried to speak but nothing came out from her mouth. Things were getting blurred.
"How's your injury?"
The images played in her head like a sequences of old movie scenes. She really wanted to go back there. She wanted to sit beside him and embrace all the pains he wanted to share. And when she found him punching that mirror with his bare hand that day, she said, "I know now, you don't need to explain". She pulled him into a hug and he didn't refuse. "I'm tired" he said. "You can now rest, Team Leader Do."
All the memories seemed so far. Kwonjoo thought Kangwoo will open up more to the team, to her. But he still held the pain deep inside his heart. The well was still there, drowning him deeper as he tried to reach the surface.
"If you want to run, run away. Run away far till no one can catch you."
The tears trekking down her cheeks. And soon, darkness took her away.
