Sweet Desires .

/ Fresh Start \

I should probably introduce myself , I'm Joanne and I'm 19 years old .

As you can tell I've never moved before , especially by myself .

It all started back when I lived in Nebraska , life was nice there and all but my mother .. She was , well to put it in a nice way I'll say neglective .

No , she didn't beat me .

She just didn't care , after my father died she just sorta blanked out a lot .

And now , this is where I am .

Starting my life somewhere new .

As I ponder in my thoughts , I look out the plane window and gaze at the forming city below me .

" New York , here I come. " I whispered to myself .

Don't get me wrong , I was nervous being all alone in the big city .

But I had enough to get me through you can say .

I had an loft apartment , and was applying for a job tomorrow already .

So you can say it was working out well .

I patiently waited for my luggage to appear on the assembly line when I heard a voice behind me. , "

"Mrs.Radford?" I heard behind me .

I turned to face an old man , very well dressed though .

I pleasantly smiled at him , " yes?"

" Your ride awaits outside ." He told me and gestured his hand toward the door .

I stood there clutching my bags , sorta confused .

" My ride ?" I asked .

" Yes , your mother arranged one." He replied and helped me take my bags .

My mother ?

I was already confused and baffled at this remark .

But me being nice , I just simply nodded and followed the man out to the car .

The long shiny black limo stretched out along the side of the street , with another man holding the car door open .

" Hello Mrs.Radford ." The other well dress man smiled .

I smiled and took my bags and slid them into the backseat with me .

" Thank you , sir ." I told them both as the door closed behind me .

You can say today was already starting off fantastic .

This is the most .. "High class" I've even been treated .

" Evening ma'am ." The driver said .

I smiled and looked into the review mirror at a young boy , probably about in his late 20's .

" Now your drive may be awhile , since we're about an hour away from where your apartment is ." He told me .

I smiled , " okay thank you ."

I took my headphones out of my purse and plugged them into my phone , and scrolled down my music list .

I softly hummed to the song and dazed out the window , looking at the scenery that flowed by .

Everything was so bright and pretty , nothing I was use too .

" how ya like New York ?" I heard the driver ask .

" So far it's been amazing actually ." I told him .

The driver smiled , " glad your liking it so far Hun ."

I lightly blushed , it was amazing .

( arriving at the apartment now . )

I guess I had fallen asleep or so , because next thing I know was that I was being shaken awake by the driver .

" Hmm ?" I groaned .

I fluttered my eyes open to see the driver shaking my arm lightly .

" oh my , I'm sorry ." I covered my mouth and sat up .

The driver chuckled , " no worries . But we're here now ."

The driver stepped aside and aloud me to get out of the car .

I stepped out of the limo and looked around at where my apartment was .

It was beautiful .

My apartment has others surround by it , like usual .

But the fall leaves we're covering the ground and across the street was the park and everything was just absolutely stunning .

" wow ." Was all I could say .

" Would you like some help mrs?" The driver asked me as he set my bags down .

" No thanks , I got it ." I told him . " also thank you for everything ." I added .

The driver smiled and nodded , he then went back to the drivers side , got inside , and drove off .

I smiled , looking up at my new apartment .

I bent down and grabbed my bags , and then headed towards the stairs .

I climbed up the stairs until I reached the second floor .

I walked slowly down the wooden hallway to find room 217 .

I drugged around in my purse and found my key , I stuck it in the key hole and turned it .

Hearing the click of the unlocking .

I smiled and pushed the door open .

I covered my mouth in astonishment .

It was so gorgeous .

It had wooden floors , white sofa's , white faux rugs , a bar style kitchen , and a flat screen mounted on the wall .

Never seen anything quite like it .

But I didn't mind , I mean .. Who would ?

After finally exploring all the nooks and crannies of this apartment I had decided to settle in by putting my clothes away .

Once I had finished that I decided that I could go for a little night out on the town .

I mean ,

What possibly could go wrong ?
