Different people have their own versions of paradise. Some people consider paradise to be sitting on a beach in the Maldives, cocktail in hand as the sun beats down, its rays kissing their skin as the cerulean sea laps at the shore and the salty scent permeates the air. Some may consider it to be hiking through beautiful mountains that tower above the world and traipsing through beautiful meadows as the birds sing. Blissful peace as they survey their surroundings with only the sky in sight. Paradise could be a bustling city like New York at night, the lights illuminating the skyline and the noise of people living their lives passing by. Famous landmarks standing out and the trademarks of the city such as yellow taxis an almost comforting sight, even if you've never been there before. Or perhaps your paradise is reading a book, on a cold, winter's evening as the rain pours against the window panes therapeutically. Wrapped in a blanket with a warm cup of tea, enjoying a classic or perhaps something new. Something to keep you hooked and not want to put it down. These author's are magicians, sorcerers who enthral you with their wizardry, manipulating language into spellbinding majesty. They twist it just so, making elegant, poised stories. Whatever your paradise is surely you must agree that the dream is to experience it in person. The serenity or the hustle, whatever you desire. Immersing yourself in the brilliance of the experience. Relaxing and sightseeing as the thrill rushes through your veins. Paradise right, you begin to understand why so many songs are written about it? Guns N Roses, Coldplay they all got in on the action. Why don't you?

Author's Note: Hey so I know this wasn't really a poem, more of a monologue but I hope you enjoy it anyway. A while back someone suggested doing a poetry anthology and I forgot about it until now. It seems like a good idea so I will try to write poetry more often. Hope you all enjoyed it anyway, thanks for reading. Please vote and comment, constructive criticism is welcomed and you can even follow and PM me if you like. I would appreciate a chat if you felt like it. Thanks again and see you next time.
