Endings.

Happy endings.

Why were their always so many happy endings. In the bedtime stories she told her daughters every night, fairy tales telling of princesses and daring nights. Even in real life she'd see couples and hear stories of people's perfect relationships and lives. She was jealous. She knew she was jealous. She'd resolved herself to realize she'd never have a happy ending like other people did. It broke her heart every time her daughters asked about their father and why they didn't have a "normal" family. In her eyes falling in love with a Jedi was both the best and worst thing she'd ever done.

She thought she'd never have a happy ending of her own.

Until he stumbled back into her life, blatantly uninvited at that. It felt like a whirlwind, they were still in a war after all, and soon they were married.

Their own little happy ending.

Until it wasn't.

And she was gone.

I finished writing this at 10:45 at night. That's why it sucks.
