Chapter 1 #Changes, Changes, Changes

The sun shines outside my bedroom window of our little old flat overlooking the grey bleak road and pavement. Today is Monday and it is the first day of year seven, this is going to be exciting I think to myself. But it's also quite nerve-wracking new people, new rules and a completely new school. It is called Northview Academy and is quite big. Today is the first day and I am taking the bus which I always did at my old school. But some kids go with their parent's, some people walk and some take the bus like me because it is right on the other side of town or they're from a neighbouring village with no High school at all. Today the bus runs 30 minutes late so we get to school late which is very annoying because it is not as it should be. On the bus, kids talk and sometimes kick my chair which can get very annoying. But I like to listen to music or draw which can get hard because the bus bumps around a lot. The school is a big grey old brick building with lots of corridors and lots of grey concrete. Today we have assembly so I sit next to my friend Rena from my old school Green-park Primary school, during assembly we watch teachers give out awards and talk to us about Behaviour and Uniform ETC. It goes on for what seems like an eternity until it finally finishes. After assembly, we have double maths with Mr. Martinez who has short blonde hair and a looks like a surfer dude (even though we're not on the sea). Mr Martinez calls out the roll, Leo Lazzidi here, Olivia King, then my boring name Maisy O'Connor I wish I could have a name like Chloe Cordelia or something, I reply with "here" then after maths it is recess I follow Rena around and even sit with her, today is going to be great I remind myself hopelessly.

Then to get recess I walk down the long corridor being pushed down by hoards kids behind me. Then I get my recess and go to sit on the black Asphalt on a wall. Today is a sunny day since it had summer holiday's had just ended. Rena has a group of friends and they seem to be talking about dance and I realise they do dance because I overheard them say they all went to Cha-Cha Dance Studio. I did have a big group last year with Rena, Taylor and a few other girls I didn't know that well. And I also liked to kick the ball with the boys in my class who talked football all the time. But here I only know Rena from Green-Park Primary School and of course my brother Jaiden. But mainly because it was half an hour away and I've been to nearly every school in our area which there are two in our town and a private school but I don't talk very much but after recess we go and it is science in the science lab with I have to go down the science corridor which Is dingy and grey the science room smells old and dusty. The teacher is a woman of about fifty she has a bun at the back of her head, glasses and looks quite grumpy. for science we are learning about the human body we are doing the digestive system it is quite boring. So I zone out into my imaginary world which I call Planet Zoo since that's such a generic name for planets. After science, we have English with a man who has brown hair and is a little bit overweight. he is quite nice though and is very chatty. This lesson he just introduces us and said hello my name is Mr. Martìnez and I am your English teacher year 7M and I. After English we have lunch, and then sit down on the stairs near the tennis court and apparently we have to go outside even though our winter is wet and cold and sometimes it hails. After lunch, we just wander around and I notice something I am on the outside of the group and how different I am because most people have lots of friends and I only ever manage to make one.

After lunch, we have double art which I quite like art since you get to imagine and create things. Today we look at clay we look at photos of clay one is narrow with legs, arms and is smiling it is kind of creepy but art was okay and after art, I hurry to the bus and jump on it. On the very last seat but I do not get a window seat which is the seat I should always get a boy about fifteen sits next to me Jaiden my brother sits at the front with his friend Toby. Then it is our stop we get off and walk to our front door and into our house. Tilly our little white fluffy dog comes over wagging her tail and mum asks how school was I reply good and go off to my room then watch Chloe Cordelia who is a super spy girl sort of like me I have to figure other people out she is so cool she lives with her Mum or (Mom) and her (dad) she has a pampered dog and her house is huge two stories's on youtube. And then I go to the kitchen for dinner at 7:00 for dinner we have Pasta. After that, we go into the living room and watch tv me, Jaiden and Mum. The reason we don't live with dad is that dad lives in a different house but I do see him on weekends mum says it was because... .He left when I was eleven he was angry because... so a bit confusing really.
