a new day is on the horizon. and for one jeon jungkook, that means using his time quite wisely.
or perhaps it means pestering poor fall, who really just wanted to get to work on the harvest schedule instead of show jungkook the path to isolation of winters wonderland. also known among many low ranked beings as uncharted territory.
after his initiation yesterday ended early evening, his fellow seasons taught him everything they knew about the realm, avoiding every pressing question about winter jungkook seemed to have. until the following morning.
falling asleep before even making it to his new land, yoongi had taken it upon himself as the oldest and more responsible one to take care of the new hire, and brought him back to his incredibly busy landscape. when the boy had woken up in the morning all bright and eager, yoongi knew what was coming.
all through breakfast jungkook rambled on about how the mysteriousness of winter was immensely attractive and how many fun memories on land he had conjured in the winter.
appalled by the persistence, yoongi had no choice but to lead the perky season to the very outskirts of his close friends residency. say or show what he might, jin was one of the few people yoongi truly cared for, and having the male create distance between them pained him deeply.
yoongi had his suspicions, but knew better than to act on them. reaching the stone path with signs decorated by jin himself to depict his perfect winter wonderland, jungkook showcased his thanks through a gigantic smile appearing and a nod of gratitude toward fall before skipping off down the trail.
yoongi turned back, not knowing the full extent of the situation with seokjin, and left jungkook to hopefully make a well needed breakthrough into the seokjin he knew was hidden somewhere.
jungkook trailed on, smiling gleefully and taking time to appreciate the everlasting snowfall accompanied by snowflakes. his heat automatically became an issue, warming him and preventing him from feeling the full bitter chill of the cold and slowly melting the ground as he walked. for being new to the job, his unconscious control of his powers weren't too shabby, but it accidentally gave way to his existence in the long run.
he'd been strolling through slowly, poking around here and there to pet deer, to taste those icy snowflakes, or make snow-angels in the ground before it melted beneath him. without noticing he wasn't following the correct path anymore, too lost in his thoughts and amazement, jungkook moved off trail, and headed into a forest off to the side.
in that forest lay seokjin, who earlier that morning had hit the four meter mark in how far he could walk without freezing over the ground and was now just finishing up his well deserved break. jumping right back into it, jin concentrated ultra hard, the rapid progress of that morning alone quite alarming.
jin was so focused on the task at hand he almost didn't notice the thick layer of ice beginning to melt enough for the green grass hidden below to peak out.
completely unplanned, jungkook had stumbled upon the area quite near to someone, which was only made obvious by the voice he'd begun hearing.
"come on seokjin, you can do it!ahhhhhhh i guess this morning really was just luck. maybe jimin was right, winter is just bad for everyone." the voice sighed dejectedly, and jungkook pitied the person speaking.
the voice first startled him, but instinct took in and he'd automatically hid behind a tree near to the figure he hadn't had the chance to get a good look at. twisting his body around the large spruce tree that lacked leaves, summer turned to look, only to be frightened by himself when he stepped on a twig and cracked it in half.
