Jaysona Remembers.....

I remember when people wouldn't even look at me in class. When they would try their best to partner up with anyone except me. How they wouldn't even remember my name if I spoke to them in public, but now I was the coolest girl at Oberland High. I didn't believe it until the most attractive guy at school Matt Landry made eye contact with me, and didn't turn away! He even held a conversation with me. Just look at him, a pure perfection in every way possible. Big brown eyes that made you feel important. Big broad shoulders that made you feel safe. A wide chest, one only you could lay your head on and fall asleep. His chocolate smooth skin reminded me of my mom's fresh baked cakes. A smile so warm and comforting that he could make my entire mood waver with just a burst of laughter, and then I remembered! I couldn't fall in love with him. Not after what happened to me on last new years break.

January 1, 2014. 2:30 a.m. ~

I was walking home from a New Years Holdiay party. It was cool outside and the air had a slight uneasiness. I knew something wasn't right, but then again maybe it was all the booze I chugged down my throat. My house was 3 blocks away, and could hear my momma's music playing. She had always loved the soothing sound of jazz music. It was the only thing that kept her going after my father passed away. I started listening hard. Maybe too hard. I think everything was my fault. I wasn't paying attention. It all happened so fast

I felt a sharp pain from my head all they way down to my stomach. I was moving, but I wasn't walking. It wasn't until I sat up and realized I was in the back of a truck...
