Jaysona's Revenge

Chapter 1 ~ The Beginning

      Matt's Point Of View:

        I hate Mr. Johnston's voice. He's so annoying. I keep my eyes glued to the clock. It's 11:45, almost time for lunch. I glance over my shoulder. She's right there! Light skin, almost golden, emerald green eyes, they change depending on her mood. She's beautiful in every way. The way her forehead crinkles up when she's thinking hard. Her long brown hair falls over the back of her shoulder blades. Her full lips, light pink, perfectly arched into her face. Damn! She caught me staring. I like her, but we're too different. It would never work. I'm a star quarter back, and she's the girl everyone finds to corny or lame, and even worst! She truly believes she's popular just because she was nominated on the homecoming court. It's too bad what the head cheerleader plans on doing to her at the homecoming dance. Maybe someday things will be more simple, and I'll try asking her out. But for now I wouldn't dare to be seen with her.

      After class I hear foot steps closing in behind me. I know it's her. So I speed up with not so much luck. A stubby hand grabs my shoulder. "Hey bro.", says Ken my bestfriend. "What's wrong? Looks like you've seen a ghost or something." He adds. "Nothing bro." I respond quickly. "I thought you were someone else."

        Lunchtime seemed to go by slower than usual. I spot Jaysona in a quick. She's sitting alone as usual. Suddenly something is blocking my view. That something is Aviona Simmons ,the head cheerleader, at Oberland High. And the best HEAD MASTER if you know what I mean. "Heyyyy Mattie!" She says with a smirk." "How was English?" She adds quickly. "How'd she know my schedule" I say to myself. "It was o-", I begin to say before she rudely interrupts me. "So homecoming? We're still going together right?" She says excitingly "Well I-" I start to mumble. "GREAT! Pick me up at 4:30 for pictures. Also bring a change of clothes because this little after party of mine should be wild!" As she walked away her huge purse jingled. I didn't like her, but it was only right for the most popular guy to be with the most popular girl at any highschool. Finally I get up perplexed from what just happened.

       After school I see her walking. She has her earbuds in and her nose in a book titled "How To Keep a Man." She isn't paying attention to what's about to happen, and then Aviona does the unthinkable! She speeds in her sports car past Jaysona. knowing there was a puddle in the street directly onside of the side walk next to her. She slows down after passing Jaysona not paying her any attention like she didn't just splash her. "Heyy Mattie boy! Need a ride home?" Hesitantly I say "Not cool Aviona! Not cool!" Jaysona then shouts aloud "You stupid bitch!" In a fiery rage. Aviona then drove off with a menacing grin on her face. I could tell by Jaysona's expression she wanted to smack that grin right off. I walked towards her, and gave her the clean towel I use for my practice days. "Are you alright? Try drying off with this. It's clean. I didn't have practice today." I say sounding concerned. "Yeah I'm OK! It just aggravates me that she's so jealous just because I was nominated for homecoming court!" She replies vigorously. I chuckle a little. "What's funny!? Let me guess you're just like the rest of the kids at this school? At first I thought you cared for me, but I can see now that small kind gesture was just an act!" She screamed at me as she disappeared into the sunset. I tried stopping her "Jaysona wai-!" But it was too late she was so far she couldn't even hear me. *Sighs* even though what she said was halfway true, the only reason she was nominated was because of Aviona. "If only things were simpler in this day an age how my dad always says it was." I said to my self as I walked to where my car was parked. Then it all hit me! I know Aviona is cruel and all, but she knew I had a car. So she wasn't even planning on giving me a ride anyways. I thought just maybe it was an accident, but now I see it was all on purpose. I can see how serious this is going to get now. "I am not looking forward to school tomorrow!"
