Chapter 18: The Alpha

It's been four days that Alain is staying alone at home. It seems that. It's not that boring for the golden wolf. Also, it's not in his habits to watch the TV and the news but, Friedrich likes it so that's the plan for tonight. The channel switches to CBS Evening News.

* Good evening dear viewers! I am Walter Cronkite. Tonight we're going to start with an accident... [...] ... and finally! A rare clean shot of a young werewolf in the woods in North Carolina.*

« You heard that? It's in our state!! » Friedrich said.

« Yeah it's crazy! It can be in our forest!! You remember the omega that showed up a while ago? It can be him. » he replied happily.

But the TV shows otherwise, it was a werewolf in front of a hillock of grass...
Both boys have their mouth fully open, Alain showing terror in his eyes...
The werewolf was him...

He has been filmed during his visit of Akira's grave. He was right, he actually heard something suspicious.

The WHOLE scene is showing on his TV, in front of the EVERYONE's TVs in the USA. There are the image and the sound! Everyone can hear his little talk! Everyon-

The video ends and the TV presenter talks again.

Alain snuggles in Friedrich's arms a bit, « This is great Fred. But I'm still exposed to a lot of people... It's weird. » he said sadly.

The brunet starts to pet his boyfriend's hair sweetly, staying silent for some minutes, « I know. » he whispered.

He puts some space between them, staring softly at the reddish lovely eyes in front of him...
« Wanna go to watch the night sky? » the brunet asked.

It makes the golden wolf smiles, « Of course Freddie. » he said.

With that, they go outside and lay down close to each other. Watching the sky make them forget their problems a bit, dreaming and relax. They stay here until they get tired, too tired and let them escape in the dream world...

The weekend comes around, and the pack finally hang out in the forest for hours.
« Do you even realize that you're so fucking popular Alain? » Rose exclaimed.

« Rose! I don't want that popularity merde. » the said boy said.

« You have to sacrifice that little guy, because cryptids are finally starting to be seen as normal kind people with emotions. I get that this is annoying but it's a good thing you have to endure a bit buddy. » Aaron replied.

« Yeah you might be right Aary. Well! Let's enjoy the moment right? » he said.

The group agree and arrives at their hiding place. They transform to their half werewolf form and play a bit like baby wolves, laughing all the time. After a long hour, hopefully, they calm down. Now they're laying down on the soft grass, talking about nothing.
