No! No! No! Her mind was just confused and scared, jumping back and forth through terrible thoughts of death. She found a boulder that was as tall and wide as her. It was more taller, but had the perfect width. She sat behind it. She glanced over, barely peaking over, but enough to see. A huge tail popped out. What the heck is that? It was huge, and had a lightning-like shape on the tip. The tail turned again, and this time it's face. Its face was huge, looked like a lizard's, but the snout was longer. A dragon?! Impossible! Those existed in the past, only! The huge dragon snarled at the boulder. Please! Move it! Never close the door again! The dragon sat and waited patiently. What's it waiting for? The dragon looked around the cave, eyes beaming everywhere. It had dark gray scales, with an almost white, red, underbelly. It's eyes were almost magenta, but still too red to be. It's horns were shaped like lightning-bolts, and a lightning-bolt shaped scar. Suddenly, there was bark at the enterance by the boulder. The dragon turned its head, and moved the boulder over. What? Summer thought suspiciously. All of the sudden, Bubblegum walked in. I should've known! She growled in her mind, she accidentally scratched the rock with her claws, but a falling rock down the path saved her. "Hello, Bolt, lovely day to stay inside, am I right?" Bolt put his head down. "You're right," and underneath his breathe he said, "Totally," sarcastically, but Bubblegum didn't hear. Instead she looked at the boulder. "So, I saw someone come in yesterday, did you see them?" Bolt shook his head. Suddenly her heart started pumping faster. She doesn't know it's me. I'm safe, Bubblegum looked over at the other cave. "They looked familiar, stand guard, make sure they get captured. They will pay, by fighting you. You hear?" Bolt nodded. Bubblegum nodded back and said "Close the entrance." Bolt nodded. Bubblegum left. Bolt sat there and yawned. He waited about five minutes, and then yawned again. "Why is this my job? If she wants them gone do it herself! I'm not fighting anybody." Summer jumped out behind the rock. "Listen, I'm the 'intruder'. I haven't drank in days, and I had to find water." Bolt looked at her. "Don't hurt me, please," Bolt laughed. "I wouldn't hurt you. Bubblegum's the one I'll hurt one day. It's coming to her." Summer looked surprised. "Wait, what has she done?" Bolt looked at Summer confused. "You're her daughter, shouldn't you know?" Summer just froze, eyes wide. "No she's not! My mom's dead." Bolt rolled his eyes. "Adopted mother." Summer looked at Bolt. "Is this true?" Bolt smiled. "I may be a dragon, but I'm not rude, nor a liar." Summer smiled. "But wait, how'd you survive all these years?" Bolt just stared in confusion. "Oh, no, I wasn't born a dragon, no, I was a wolf, just like you." Bolt quickly added, "Well, your part Husky, but yeah, other than that you're a wolf." Bolt laughed. His eyes were sad though. "What's your backstory?" Bolt looked surprised. "No one has ever asked me that! Probably because I have never met anybody but my mother, father, Bubblegum, you, and my dead cousin." Bolt smiled. "When I was a pup, I was happy." He smiled, most likely thinking about memories. "I was happy, until my father took me to the mountain, my neck's length away. I remember these strange crystals, they were a light blue, and shimmered very brightly. They were so pretty-" he cut off, as blue shimmered in his eyes. Summer was scared. He snapped out of it quickly. "But, when I touched one, I became a dragon, and killed my father." Summer's face filled with shock. "Why'd you kill your father?" Bolt glanced over. "I was pretty mad at him. He did this to me. He saw me as a test subject, instead of his own son," Bolt's eyes filled with tears. Summer felt bad for him. "Then, when I returned to my mother, I got captured by Bubblegum." Bolt's eyes filled with realization. "I have a job for you," he said. Summer's eyes filled with determination. "I'm ready, anything to help you," Bolt nodded. "There's this group of friends Bubblegum's planning to kill. One's named Luke, she told me stories about him being very rude, then running away." Summer's determination poured out of her. "Wait, Luke? He's my friend." Bolt looked shocked. "Really? You got to save him. They will die." Bolt pushed over the boulder. "Make sure she doesn't kill my mother like she's planning to, too," Summer looked at him with determination. She ran out the entrance, gave one last nod, and ran.
