Chapter 4: New Team

Andrea/ Emily: "Welcome to Tomorrow's Reality."

Everyone has logged into Tomorrow's Reality simultaneously, with everyone now wearing an assortment of fantasy gear. Ulrich and Mira are wearing worn out overalls and lab coat respectively.

Ulrich: "Whoa!"

The two groups awkwardly look at each other.

Robert: "(awkwardly) Uh... hi guys?"

Yukiko: "(awkwardly) You guys found a new member too?"

Ulrich holds out his hand towards Zack.

Ulrich: "I'm Ulrich Isawell, Kyle's cousin and our designated Engineer."

Zack takes his hand.

Zack: "Glad to have you around!"

Mira holds her hand out towards William.

Mira: "Mira Irons, Cole's cousin and the new Tactician on the team."

William takes her hand.

William: "Nice to meet you."

They soon wrap up formalities.

Emily: "So are you two going to go against some enemies to check out the combat?"

Ulrich pulls out a beaten wrench and Mira finds a monocle in her coat.

Ulrich: "Might as well!"

Isabel: "Follow us. We'll be able to show you around the starting grind spot."

The veterans go on ahead.

Mira: "I'm just confused as to how to fight with a monocle."

Ulrich: "I'd say that you just have to get creative."

Asaka: "Guys?"

They catch up.

Ten minutes later...

Everyone stands in a vast field filled with dozens of small creatures roaming the area.

Kyle: "Well uh... just beat the shit out of them?"

Mira puts on her monocle as Ulrich equips his wrench.

Ulrich: "I was planning that for quite a bit now."

The wrench begins creating a grenade in the palm of his hand as math symbols begin flowing around Mira's hands.

Roy: "Go ham!"

A herd of rabid rabbits take notice of Ulrich and Mira as they ready to fight.

Mira: "Do you have my back?"

Ulrich: "Isn't your back attached to your body?"

Metal scraps from Ulrich's inventory begins to become a sort of bomb in his hand.

Mira: "(sighing) Nevermind. Just fight."

Ulrich tosses his bomb as several rabbits are trapped in a bubble of knowledge.

Ulrich/ Mira: "Calculated."

The bomb detonates as the bubble constricts the captives, decimating almost all of them in a single attack, causing the others to run away as the two grow to Lv3 from their combined EXP.

Kyle: "(out of it) ... They just went kaboom."

Cole: "(awkwardly) ... Boom boom."

William and Zack snap them out of it as the rookies come on over.

Ulrich: "Anything else we should learn for now, or can we pack it up for a day?"

A slight beep is heard from Ulrich's glove and Mira's phone.

Zack: "Just one."

They have received guild invites.

Mira: "Of course, how could we forget that?"

They begin to log out one by one as they accept their invites.

Ulrich: "Having fun?"

The rookies are last to log out...
