It's been a while since we left school to go shopping together. I still haven't grasped the fact that he volunteered to go with me. We are now in front of the supermarket, which is mediogre in size, though very famous.
- ... Is this it?
He asked with a perplexed look on his face, while titling his head.
K. - Yes.
???-... ... ...
- Have you never gone shopping before?
I asked him amused.
- No... There wasn't any real need for me to do so before...
- Well, there is always a first time for everything.
I said, kindly smiling up to him to keep him from bearing such a complex look. Even thought his side of him intrigued me, I don't want him to feel too out of place.
He stared at me surprised. It took me a while to think that that was the first time he saw me smile. At that, I turned and motioned him to follow me inside.
Once we enter, I watch as he just stands there amazed by the variety of products and colors, trying to take in the unfamiliar, busy environmend. I giggle at his reaction, recapturing his attention.
- Finally, you laughed...
After these words left his delicious looking lips, I can feel my cheeks going through all kinds of shades of red as I was stared at by his kind gaze.
K. - L-Let's go further back!!!
As I barely manage to muffle these words out, I grab one of the shopping baskets. His curious eyes are fixed on the odd looking basket.
K. - Oh, I suppose I should explain; This basket is used for carrying the products you wish to purchase.
I also explain the meaning of money to make things easier. Something caused him to go to sleep for a very long time, resulting him to be completely unfamiliar with this era. I already know that he must be older than the Victorian era, but introducing him to this time is quite an experience. I must say, he is taking everything in quite smoothly. I guess someone has already taught him the very basics like the language. I mean, a lot of things have changed since then. He has perfect manners and everything though.
K. - Please, if you want to learn about something else, don't hesitate to ask me. Now then, I will go take what is needed and meet you here in an hour. Okay?
He nods and I slowly make my way towards the corridors. I walk past the emploees, who have all gathered at the entrance, surprise written on their faces. Well, it's been a while since I last came here, with someone nonetheless. It is probably the first time they see me with another person after my father's death...
Right when I'm about to pass by, I nod at them politely as a greeting, without meeting their eyes.
I can tell I have confused him by my behavior, but they understand that this is for the best. After all, indistrict eyes are everywhere... I begin walking around the corridors. We meet occasionally as he is leisurely walking and looking around, to ask me any questions that he might have.
