Over the past week Jake has been having bad luck. For example, his sword kept on swinging out of his hand whenever he tried swinging Riptide.
"Having some trouble, Jake?" Percy asked innocently with an equally innocent smile on his face, but if one looked closely, you could see devil horns and tail. "You seem to be having some bad luck."
"Shut it Jackson," Jake growled. "I don't know why you're doing this..."
"Doing what Jake?" Percy asked walking up to him. "Making you pay for betraying Annabeth's trust? Because I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Are you bullshitting me?!" Jake exclaimed as he made an ice spear and pointed it at the Son of Misfortune.
"Do you want me to answer that?" Percy asked the Hero of Olympus.
Jake then threw the spear, but due to Percy perfecting most of his powers, it vanished into it's own shadow and Percy said, "Tsk, tsk... Never attack someone who has a backup plan."
"I should have you killed, traitor!" Jake shouted. "You are nothing, but a freak of nature that shouldn't have been born!"
Percy's eyes narrowed and he said, "Just like you shouldn't have been born, Son of Poseidon. I am, and also will be, your bad luck charm, and there is nothing you can do about it. You will pay for breaking Annabeth's heart. You've changed, Jake, and not in a good way. I will always be around to bring people like you, people who disgust me, misfortune. And there is nothing you can do to stop me. Goodbye Jake and have a nice life full of bad luck."
Time skip to Friday the 13th
"Hello everyone," Apollo said as he walked into the pavilion. "Me and Chiron decided that instead of doing Capture the Flag tonight, we will be doing a karaoke night! You just have to choose your song and sing it! Now then first one up is... Annabeth Rose!"
As the Demi-Titaness walked up to the front of the Pavilion a ripple effect seemed to encase her body, before stopping and everyone gasped at her new looks, including the Olympians that didn't know.
"My name is Annabeth Summer Rose the Daughter of Selene," Annabeth announced. "When I just a baby, Athena, in all her Wisdom, took me away from my mother and father and turned me into a Daughter of Athena. But, thanks to the Charm Cousins and Thalia, I found my real mother and regained my original looks and powers. This is "Carry on Wayward Son," by Facing West."
(A/N: Yes I know that Carry on Wayward Son is played by Kansas before any of you Supernatural fans begin to bitch at me, trust me, I love the show as well even though I am about 11 or 12 seasons behind, but this is a cover of the song.)
As she sang, a projection appeared on screen, showing Percy in the future which surprised many people and when she was done singing, the projection stopped and Apollo said, "Well, that was unexpected. Anyways the next one up is Thalia Grace!"
Thalia then walked up to the front as Annabeth walked to Percy's table and the Daughter of the Drama King himself said, "I will be singing, "Salute" by Little Mix."
Artemis then looked a little smug, mainly because this was her favorite song and her Hunters began smiling as well.
When Thalia was done, the Hunters of Artemis and their patron all smirked at the men in the room and Yang said, "I think mine is going to trump that."
"I'd like to see you try, Sunny Little Dragon," Thalia said her arms crossed.
"No one, but my dad is allowed to call me that," Yang growled, her eyes turning red and her hair flaring up.
"Just get up on stage, firecracker," Percy said shadow traveling his cousin up on stage.
"Anyways, my song is one that I wrote myself it's called "All Things Must Die"," Yang said as the music started.
When the song ended, everyone looked scared to even go near the Daughter of Fortune, since she practically told them all that they must all die.
"As my mother says: The Strong live, and the Weak, die," Yang told them her eyes crimson. "It's the truth of the world."
Once everyone had a turn Apollo said, "Last one folks! Give it up for Percy Jackson the Son of Misfortune!"
Once Percy was up there, he said, "Before I sing, I want to tell you all a little something about me..."
Percy took a deep breath and said, "Did you know crows are a sign of bad luck?" Music then began to play, giving him a mysterious aura. "Old superstition, but it's how I got my name. You see, some people can absorb electricity, and some people can burst into rose petals. And some people are just born unlucky. My power isn't like most. It's not exactly something I 'do'. It's always there... whether I like it or not. I bring misfortune..." he then gave a somber chuckle and said, "I guess you could call me a bad luck charm."
Then he began to sing.
End of Volume 1.
