My name is Val, and I was born in a very religious town. This was happening when our chiefs were accepting the heretic beliefs of Christianity in exchange for false words of peace. They gave up the gracious words of Luna for hatred from a foreign god. I was burned for sticking to my beliefs. I had a wonderful family, who believed our Lady of the Moon, until they invaded. We were "allowed" to keep our customs in exchange for abandoning our faith. They were going to kill us. My family accepted their terms. I did not. I stayed true to Our Lady of the Moon. I never wavered like those fools. I would not disgrace our ancestors. For that, I was burned alive.
When I died, Luna saw what I did. She congratulated me for my faith and gave me a choice. Stay in Valhalla and live a happy life, or serve her to keep this world neutral. I chose the latter. I wanted revenge for those who hurt me and others who had the courage to stay true. After a while, my family died and they came to be judged. They have been fully brainwashed. I stood there in my short shirt and skirt and watched as they betrayed even me. They chose not Luna, or even Hecate or Sol, but the hateful God. They forsook me and the beliefs we have fought for. They disgust me. After this betrayal, I went back to my room and cried. They hate me now. I could visit them and almost do, in Heaven. I never did. Luna introduced me to my Valkyrie father. The one who truly cares for me.
After hundreds of years of training, I went back to Earth, in a place called Spain. The cycle repeated itself, except I was stoned in place of being burned. The father I grew up with this life also chose Heaven over his own son.
