Hello

Chapter 6

As we all say goodbye they all make sure to say goodbye to Oso too. Taking in my word.

     "Ok so there is a bunch of food in the house, there's some in the kitchen obviously but I have a second fridge in the garage."

     "Uber's here." Joel announces. I nod and walk to the others.

     "Can someone lock up?" I ask and we all walk out. I hear the click but I'm not sure who locked up.

Eh, as long as it is locked.

Emily loops her arm into mine and she smiles. "Ah, we are going to have a blast. And the best part is, free drinks." She sings that last part.

We pull up to the club and we all get out. I'm the last one to and Joel offers me his hand for help. I gladly take it and get out. I still don't let go of his hand and we walk up to the bouncer[(whole squad on stealth) I had to] and Emily starts talking to him.

     "Hola Mateo, como estas?" The bouncer smiles.

     "Emily, no te vi el sábado pasado, ya piense que algo te paso. Siempre estas aca." Emily nods.

     "Ya se, no estaba con mi mejor amiga, el viernes nos um, enfermamos." The bouncer nods understanding. "Pues ya estoy acá con ella, y unos miembros de el grupo CNCO." The bouncer looks at us, well at the boys.

     "CNCO? Ay, mi niña esta enamorada con Ustedes, especialmente con el dominicano. Como se llama? Richard?" Richard walks up.

     "De verdad?"

     "Eres tu?" He nods. "Puedo tomar una foto contigo?" Richard nods and a walks to take the picture.

     "Gracias, ok entren." We enter the club and follow Emily into the VIP section. As we walk into our booth we see Julia sitting down. She's Emily's cousin. Emily runs up to her and hugs her.

     "Julia!" Emily shouts. "Damn look at my cousin with her busy as club!"

Julia flips her hair. "I'm amazing, I know," they both laugh. Julia turns to us. "Hi, I'm Julia, Emily's cousin," she introduces herself to the guys. They all say their names, and she raises her eyebrows once her attention was on Joel. I felt myself getting jealous.

     "Damn, look at you Reina, you have changed since last year. And look at you, you better keep that man of yours. Girls would want to snatch." Julia says to me. I open my mouth to tell her that I'm not with Joel when Joel starts talking.

     "Reina shouldn't worry," I smile and Joel gives my hand a squeeze.

What the fuck does that mean?

     "Sit down, everything is on the house. I'm going to get some champagne, unless anyone wants anything else."

     "Get me a martini!" Emily says. Julia nods her head and walks out. I turn to Joel who is sitting next to me.

     "What was that all about?" I ask him.

    "What do you mean?"

     "What you told Julia."

     "I tell you tomorrow," He says and I nod.

Great, now this isn't going to leave my mind.

Julia comes back with a some glasses and a bottle she is followed by a waiter so has Emily's martini and another bottle and put them on the table.

     "So who wants some champagne?" Julia asks while opening the bottle. I sit forward to her.

     "Well I know I do!" I say. I turn to Joel. "You want a glass?" I ask him.

     "Um, yeah sure why not?" He shrugs.

Julia pours some champagne for all of us, except for Emily.

     "Ok, so Chris, how are you? It's been a long time. You've been gone since what? Three years? Four?" Julia says. Chris nods.

     "Yeah, about." Julia nods.

     "So how have you guys been putting up Chris? How annoying has he been to you guys?"

     "Chris is hella annoying," Richard flat out says.

     "Hey!" Chris protests.

     "Nah, but Chris is chill, his our brother, you know?"

     "Yeah, he was always cool with everyone, ever since middle school. I remember for our graduation, he helps this one kid calm down. He was so nervous for the ceremony. I thought that was really sweet of him to do that." I look how Julia is looking at Chris, full of lust. I want to laugh though. Her eyes are so full of lust for Chris, Emily's eyes are full of fire as she looks at her cousin. And then there is chris looking at Emily full of love. I whisper this to joel and he chuckles. I take a sip of my champagne.

     "Oh, yeah you were in the same class as him. Damn I wouldn't have thought you would flaunt that out. See Julia had to repeat a grade." Julia smiles but I see the fire in her eyes. We were never close, we have always been friends with our differences. We would never be in bad hands but no one messes with my best friend's chance at getting with Chris..again.

     "Yeah, but I didn't mind. I got to relive senior year with Eric," I squeeze joel's hand. Anything to keep me from beating her ass. Eric is my ex boyfriend, we went out since freshman year, but then Julia decided to steal him from me at homecoming my senior year.

     "Oh yeah you like being a cougar don't you? First Eric, then Carlos, then Sean." Richard spits out his drink a little. Emily barks out a laugh. Joel and Chris suppress their lips to keep them from smiling. I smile at her.

     "It's not that I like it, it's more of all the guys liked me, and was I to say no?"

     "And yet you hated your name. What was it? E.C? Isn't that right? Elizabeth?" I take a sip of my champagne. "You know Julia, Elizabeth Castillo had a good ring to it. You shouldn't have changed it." I see the fire in her eyes. Julia glares at me, I turn to Emily. "Don't you agree Em? Elizabeth suits her more than Julia." Julia widens her eyes. "Don't drag me down with you" they say. Julia smiles and excuses herself, saying that she needed to check inventory. I down my drink and everyone turns to me

     "Reina what was that?" Chris and Emily ask me at the same time.

     "Yeah that was pretty, vicious," Richard says.

     "Seems like she had it coming," Joel says. I smile.

     "Of course she did. It's Julia. I love my cousin, but she can be a bitch sometimes." Emily says.I sigh and look at Emily. She is the only one that knows about Eric. Chris just knows that we broke up, not how.

     "Just say it," Emily tells me. So I do. I tell them, that I have never really liked Julia. How she was a bitch. She always got on my nerves, especially after taking Eric from me. So when I saw how she was trying to take Chris from Em, I snapped. I look at Em and Chris at this part. They look at each other and hold hands. They might have not worked out in the past, but maybe the future they will. They both know how much I loved them together. My two favorite people ending up with each other was what i wanted.

     "You think Julia and you will ever be cool again?" Chris asks me.

     "Maybe, we have never been good friends, and this wasn't the first time we fight.But we do tend to make up because we don't want bad blood and it's not fair to Emily if we do." I explain.

     "Thanks Reina, but now we stop with all of this drama. Tonight is a night of partying. We celebrating um, i don't know. Chris and Reina finally reuniting." I laugh and look at Chris.

     "I love you puto!" I yell at him.

     "I love you too bitch!" he yells back to me. Everyone laughs.
